Philippians 1:1-11, Paul Wants to Know More About Christ

Paul wanted to know more about Jesus, Philippians 3:10.

If you want to be more like Jesus,

• stay in the Word, John 1:1, 14.

• pray [talk to God] Luke 18:1; Philippians 4:6-7.

• tell people about Jesus, Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8.

What Jesus wants us to know about Him:

• The power of His resurrection--special power. It takes supernatural power to live for Christ, Ephesians 1:19-20. We live in Him--His Word and prayer.

• The fellowship of His sufferings, Hebrews 12:2. Suffering is going to come. Would you be willing to suffer for Jesus Christ? Philippians 2:8; John 4:34.

• Purpose of Christ. We have to get in line and follow Jesus.
