Salt--- what do you think of when salt is mentioned?
In the Old Testament--- Salt was scarce, making it precious. It was used in every sacrifice (Lev. 2:13) as well as to preserve meat, and it became the symbol of the incorruptibility of God's covenant, (that which cannot be corrupted, violated, or profaned) and of man's perpetual obligation to Him.--- (lasting forever, continuing without interruption) It is a covenant between God & His people forever.
