5 Reminders for Our Victory Lap
5 Reminders for Our Victory Lap
Romans 5:1-2 — We are Justified
Declared righteous
What does it mean to be “declared righteous”?
What does that mean for us?
Romans 5:3-5 — We are Reconciled
We are always near God
God is always close. Whether You read your Bible or not, He’s there.
God’s presence in your life is NOT dependent on the consistency of your devotional life. He’s ALWAYS there.
Romans 6:11 — We are Dead to Sin
We don’t have to keep “killing ourselves”.
This text literally tells us that we are DEAD. We are dead. D-E-D DEAD.
So instead of needing to kill yourself today, just declare over yourself that you are ALIVE.
Romans 6:11 — We are Free
Freedom is a fact, not a feeling
The greatest challenge of the Israelites was learning how to live as FREE people.
What if, instead of saying how sinful we are, we truly believe that we are free.
Hebrews 10:14 — We are Perfected Forever
Sanctification is the daily reminder of my Justification
Did you know that you are PERFECTED?
perfection = completeness
“Do not wait to feel that you are made whole, but say, ‘I believe it; it is so, not because I feel it, but because God has promised.’” (SC 51.2)
