Introduction

I have been encouraged this week. I have been asking the Lord for encouragement and motivation. I want all of you to know that you are the encouragement that He has sent to me. I think and reflect on all of you and what you do for me, this church and your fellow brothers and sisters. I think about the ladies we have over in the community off Stumbo Road. I think about the calls you all make to each other checking in. I think about the times that we provided for Dorothy. I think about the times that some of you have come over to our parsonage and brought us groceries, or a gift or just called/text and said you love us. You all are our family and we consider as much family as we do our own.

Body

I want to read our Scripture this morning
Read Acts 4:32-37
The contrast of Barnabas to Ananias and Sapphira (barnabas gave, the other two withheld)
Dean and his generosity
Talk about the unity of heart and mind, the equal parts of friendship and of purpose.
Talk about the difference in selling everything and providing/sharing in all you have. Talk about the reciprocity of giving and humility in receiving.
Talk about prayer and what matters to the Lord. The difference in praying for things, attitudes or blessings vs praying for action and volition.

Conclusion

I want you all to be encouraged this morning and understand the love that surrounds you. I have been to a lot of places and still I consider and think about how much prayer and how much love abides within these walls. The grace and forgiveness, the loyalty and support that is given to all especially to me. I think about you all constantly and I just want to take another Sunday to tell you how much we love you.
Before we leave here this week I want us to take some time to pray, feel free to pray where you are. You are more than welcome to come and pray up here as well.
As we leave here this week, think of someone either havent seen in a while or haven’t contacted in a while and reach out to them this week and let them know how much you love them.
