What's Going On?

What’s Going on in our world? If it seems like everything is just messed up, you are right about a lot of things. Sin just doesn’t make sense. Sin is disastrous. Sin is illogical.
It seems the world has forgotten sin—or at least it used to seem that way. Here’s what I think now: it seems Satan has progressed with the world and the world mph as chosen to forget God and enjoy sin. I think that may be more accurate. Sin is enjoyed. God is forgotten. If we were, like Moses, come down from Sinai and say to the world “behold your gods,” we would see the world worshiping gossip, slander, lawlessness, abortion, homosexual activities, and Gods sovereignty over the self’s identity. Personal freedom and personal expression has become the new way for persons to worship, not god, but themselves.
On the other hand, we can still see a lot of good in the world. Good people are still being led and empowered by God to do good things. This is what we see happening in our world—the struggle between sin and Spirit.
Struggle in Being
Struggle in Being
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
Struggle in Mindset
Struggle in Mindset
For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
Hostility or Honor?
Hostility or Honor?
For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot.
Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him.
But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
