Sermon Tone Analysis

I want to take us first to the Book of Romans, and I want us to look at Romans 8:5 and a because I believe that there is a very clear and Powerful statement that you and I need to understand as we come to our passage today.

So let me Begin by reading these words from Romans chapter 8.

It says for duels.

Who are cording to the flesh?

Set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the spirit, the things of the spirit.

For the Mind Set On The Flash is dead.

But the Mind Set On the spirit is life and peace, because the Mind Set On The Flash.

For God.

For those not subject itself to the log done for it.

Is not even able to do so.

and those Who are in the flesh Anna, please.

What a bold statement isn't?

It has become too continued study through though the Book of Genesis and he is, we finish up chapter 25.

Today.

We're going to be looking at 16 vs small for the segment that we've been looking at for actually going to really focus on just the final eight verses of that section.

As we go through today.

You're going to realize that our passage is Barry narrative in in its approach but this narrative covers prop possibly over 40 year.

I remember many times going through this, this narrative, the story, and Sunday school time.

There was different things that were apply and then that's what I love about narrative.

We can pull out different life lessons that that apply to our life.

And we're going to do so today.

But I want us to work at the first few verses that begin with me.

And verse 19 to 21.

It says, now, these are the records of a generation of Isaac Abraham's, son, Abraham became the father of Isaac &, Isaac was 40 years old when he took Rebecca, the daughter of a Thule, the our Airmen who didn't around the sister of Laban, the Durham, To be his wife.

It's hard to get through.

Sometimes.

I got to say Isaac, listen to this Isaac praying to the Lord on behalf of this one, because she was Barren, and the Lord answered him.

And it's an irritant that is carried throughout scripture.

She doesn't know their boys, but there's struggle and she is, she saying there's something just not right.

You know what you and I should do when there's something, not like we should go to the war.

I love the sovereignty of God.

Before these boys are even boring, God knows.

And in God's sovereignty is something that continues to come up in in our discussions, in our study of the scriptures, isn't it?

And I've never really Godsey, probably every parent's worst nightmare.

God says you're bored.

These two are going to struggle for all life.

Would you like to be a parent and God say, well, this is just going to go on for the rest of the day.

You're going to have two kids that will never get along.

I am so glad God didn't you come and tell me that and not only will they not get along but there's going to be two lotions and those Nations will not get along.

A God in his sovereignty, knowing what is ahead declares this ahead of time.

Think about Rebecca.

Think about the thing.

She must have pondered in in that mother's heart of her.

She carried those two that she felt the struggle within her.

And no doubt Isaac is is aware of this Oracle that God has given.
