If I say the name "Jesus" what do you think of? What pops in your head?
Do you think of this?
His birth in Bethlehem, in the manger. Maybe we think of this:
Jesus healing someone, this Peter’s mother-in-law. Maybe we think of this:
Jesus walking on the water. or maybe we think of this.
Jesus feeding 5000 people. We certainly think of this
Jesus dying on the cross for us, for the world.
Christ risen from the dead.
But sometimes we forget that Jesus is the creator of all things.
WE don’t need to worry because He upholds the universe by His powerful Word
WE rejoice knowing that Jesus loves us.
Today, and for the next 3 Sundays we are going to be learning about Jesus the Son of God.
Hebrews 1:2–3 (ESV)
"...Son, whom he (God the Father) appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
After we pray, I have brought a sheet for you to take back to your seat, with a word find on one side and coloring page on the other side, and a small container of crayons.
Repeat after me as we pray, Thank you God, for sending Jesus. Thank Jesus for creating everything, even me. Most of all, thank you for being, MY SAVIOR. Amen. Grab a sheet, and box of crayons as you return to your seats and may the LORD Jesus watch over you always.
