The Bible and other accounts of human history show many examples of our inability to keep in step with God’s will for our lives and how easily we wander away from His order… if we ever tried to comply at all. One of the hardest parts of the Christian walk after the relationships that end or fade away is maintaining a relationship with the God who saved us. Daily, hourly or moment by moment, we must check that the steps we intend to take are along the path laid out for us. If you’ll forgive the metaphor, being careful how you live means looking at the path to make sure you are on it or at least heading towards it. Like keeping a firm grip on the controls of a vehicle to keep it on the road that it was designed for.
