Colossians 3
Colossians 3
To experience the resurrection of Christ, one must receive Him as Savior and Lord.
His resurrection is your resurrection also.
Knowing and believing that Christ is now gone away into heaven and He now resides there with His Father God.
Hebrews 9:24 shares “For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figure of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: Amen!
Christ is positioned with the Father in power, honor and authority in Heaven.
Colossians 3:1-4 states “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.”
Let’s for a moment turn our attention to “The Second Coming of Christ”!
Christ’s second coming will be an unknown time. No one will know when His return will be.
In Jesus’ own words recorded in Matthew 24:36 He utters, “But that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”
This is why the saved desire should always live daily lives preparing for His return. Jesus has echoed that the day and hour is kept from man and the angels but our Father God knows the time when Jesus’ return will occur.
To prepare for our Lord’s return, we are told that the times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord should be sought after.
Acts 3:19 says “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”
