An Evening Plea

A Cry for God’s Help (1)

In the reflection upon the day, David asks for God’s graciousness to hear his prayer.
He has confidence in God’s protection over him.

Confront the Problem with Truth (2-3)

David addressed those who sought his harm with the truth that God was his Protector.

Reflect on God’s Goodness (4-5)

Turn the troubles of the day into trust in the LORD by thinking upon how has sustained you. Don’t sin in your anger.

Rest in God’s Protection (6-8)

A Morning Prayer

Come to God Properly (1-3)

Prayer involves trust and submission (the sacrifice showed dependence upon God). The sacrifices of God are a broken and a contrite heart.

Seek God’s Direction (7-8)

Seek God’s Protection and Blessing (11-12)
