Introduction:
Have you been in a situation where you needed correct advice? You sought all types of opinions for your matter. You consulted (your best friend, mama, daddy, Auntie, Uncle, sister, horoscope, and finally Google). But the advice you sought did not fix your problem. We move away from the favor of God when we don’t ask of Him regarding our situations.
I had just moved from Detroit to Texas and I had left a thriving Real Estate business to go to seminary to train in ministry. I had this great plan to run my business in Michigan from Texas, but then then 2009 Real Estate Crash came. And my plan went up in smoke. So the money I had saved would burn quickly. So, finally when my money ran out, I had another brilliant plan. I had found a part time job that wasn;t enough to cover bills, so I did a Pay day loan. When things got tight I didn’t consult the Lord, I made a hasty and costly decision.
The Bible has several scriptures on man and his plans.
A person’s heart plans his way,
but the Lord determines his steps.
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will travel to such and such a city and spend a year there and do business and make a profit.” Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring—what your life will be! For you are like vapor that appears for a little while, then vanishes.
Instead, you should say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that.”
These texts communicate that men generally plan without consulting the Lord!
Let me hip you to the great Variable in your life GOD IS REAL!
If you are a Christian you LIVE IN HIS HOUSE (his RULE/ his WILL APPLIES)
If you are a non-Christian You might feel as if you are a dog off a Chain, but the Great Dog Catcher will gather you up!
For this reason God highly exalted him
and gave him the name
that is above every name,
so that at the name of Jesus
every knee will bow—
in heaven and on earth
and under the earth—
and every tongue will confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

Go ask your Father in the human family sense means, go ask another very capable person. In the sense of your spiritual life, it means Go ask the only capable person. He has an answer for every area of your life. In the Human family, some touchy subjects get passed around by the parents, but with your Heavenly Father, He interacts with your most difficult situation.
His divine power has given us everything required for life and godliness through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.
When the circumstances of life come your way, GO ASK YOUR FATHER!
