The Attributes of God

Have you ever tried to hide things from people and tried to get away from it?

When I was a child I use to take Vitamins every morning.

They were vitamins that would dissolve in your mouth. I had to take them for breakfast.

I talked my mother into taking them after breakfast.

When I was done I would run to our living room toward a couch that was against a wall.

I would put the vitamins in between the wall and the couch on the back side.

Until one day, My mother wanted to vacuum underneath the couch.

She found all the vitamins suck behind the couch and some stuck to the wall.

Sometimes we do this with God. When God tries to gives us something that is healthy for us His Truth and Word

“Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment.” - Proverbs 18:1

Self centeredness makes us an enemy to Gods Truth. Mocking God and His Truth.

Truth of God challenges what we believe

The Mind is closed off, and their mouth is full of evil.

We need to understand Gods attributes and His Character.

God is Omniscient.

What does this mean?

This means God knows everything.

Psalm 139:1-6

Psalm 139:1–6 (ESV)

O Lord, you have searched me and known me! 2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. 3 You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. 4 Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. 5 You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. 7 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it. Psalm 139:1-6

1. God searches Me and knows everything about Me.

- He KNOWS the deepest inward thoughts, motives, fears, and desires.

- God knows you more than you know yourself.

God knows us in a deep intimate way.

THAT IS WHY IT IMPORTANT TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM

He knows what your afraid of

but also knows what you need to overcome that fear.

The directions I can go. The GOOD & THE BAD & GOD KNOWS WHY YOU PICKED.

The choices that will be made. THE GOOD & THE BAD & GOD KNOWS WHY YOU PICK THEM.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? 10“I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.” Jeremiah 17:9–10

God searches the heart and test the mind.

God explores your heart and examines everything about you.

I had a heart problem in March 2021 this year.

I had to have surgery on my heart

I had an irregular heart beat 30 beats per minute. It was beating really low.

They did an X-Ray that gave such much detail on my heart.

They could see a little hole in my heart in the upper chambers.

THE DOCTOR HAD TO SHOKE MY HEART DURING Surgery

OUR HEARTS OUR SICK - OUR HEART WAS NEVER INTENDED TO BE INFLUENCED BY SIN.

JESUS DIEDED TO GIVE US A NEW HEART. WE NEED A SHOCK!

“Search” - Chaqar - To penetrate, to examine intimately: FIND OUT.

God sees all the evil and sin your heart.

God cannot be deceived.

IF WE WEAR MASKS GOD KNOWS.

God penetrates your heart with truth. Correcting and renewing the attitude of the heart.

Psalm 119:11 (ESV)

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

God knows every sin you have done and God knows every sin your going to do.

IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED CHRIST AND HAVE DECIDED TO GIVE JESUS YOUR LIFE.

ALL YOUR SIN: PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE IS FORGIVEN.

THE DEVIL TRIES TO TWIST THIS TRUTH WITH A LIE: TELLING US WE CAN KEEP ON SINNING BECAUSE GOD FORGIVES.

No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 1 John 3:6-9

If we have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The relationship we have with sin changes.

The desire for sin changes and the desire to follow the Word of God grows.

Your calling is to follow JESUS CHRIST.

We always want to know

what am I CALLED TO DO.

WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND WE ARE CALLED TO THE AUDIENCE OF ONE JESUS CHRIST

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)

You were created for so much more than what you are living in now.

A whole plan of your has been laid out by God.
