Celebration…What have we learned
Deuteronomy 11:2
Sermon Transcript
It's hard to believe we're at the end of 40 days.
Would you take your outline.
The Bible says in Deuteronomy 11:2, "/Remember today what you have learned about the Lord through your experiences with Him/."
A key word is the word "/remember/".
Many times the Bible tells us to remember the lessons we have learned; otherwise, we have to learn them over and over and over and over.
\\ \\ Some things we only learn through experience.
\\ So today, we're going to look at what have we learned about God, \\ what we’ve learned about ourselves, about life, \\ about growing, about our community.
\\
So what have we learned?
What have we learned about God? \\ The first thing we've learned is that it's all about *God, not me*.
\\ It's all about God, not me.
\\ The Bible says in Hebrews 2:10, "/God is the one who made all things and all things are for His glory.
He wanted to have many children share His glory/.”
We began our 40 Days by saying the purpose of our lives is far greater than our happiness.
It's greater than personal fulfillment.
It is greater than success.
We were made by God and for God (you can probably finish this by now), and until we understand that, life doesn't make sense.
You were made for God.
And the Bible says that God made us for His forever family.
The Bible says, "/Everything/ /got started in Him and finds its purpose in Him/.”
Now, this is the most basic truth you have to learn about life;
