Sermon Notes: May 12, 2019 Psalm 139 Short Review Review the main points of the morning message. Focus of Discussion: What is God’s calling on mothers of all kinds? Some Questions for Discussion: 1. What were the best qualities your mother had? How did they show up in the way she mothered you? 2. Who has more of a spiritual influence on children, moms or dads? Why? 3. Are there Spiritual mothers? Comment on Mark 10:29f. a. Did anyone have that role in your life? Can you share details? b. Have any of you been involved in “spiritual mothering” – helping younger Christians to be established in the faith? How is it similar or different from the kind of mothering done in a family? 4. Is there a guarantee that children raised in a Christian home will become Christians? a. In light of this, what is the role and responsibility of parents? b. What encouragement would you offer to Christian parents about their children’s future? 5. What do you do when children as they grow older wander from the faith? a.
