8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Chick-fil-a: In 1946, founder Truett Cathy made the decision to close the chain on Sundays so that "he and his employees could set aside one day to rest and worship if they choose" -- a practice which is still maintained today. Rest for Success?
Give a day to God and watch how you will prosper.
Labor for 6 days then why do we as Americans work 5 and have 2 days off? I was taught that when they were establishing our country there was a great debate regarding setting up our work week. Some said we should take Sunday as the day off and others said we should take Sat. off. So they compromised and gave us a 5 day work week and 2 days off.
Jewish sabbath of the old testament. from Sun down on Friday to Sun down on Sat.

God blesses the seventh day?
Blessed - to give / made holy to take away to take it out of circulation.
God wants us to rest. 1/3 of our life is sleeping “Resting”. What happens if we don’t rest? Want to drive someone crazy have them stay awake for three days straight. - Military uses this to interrogate.
Sabbath — noun. a day of rest and worship at the end of the seven day week cycle; lasting from Friday evening until Saturday evening.
Rest is the rhythm woven into creation.
Drums: rhythm is the hit and the not hit. Do you know what the not hit is called? The rest. If there was no rest when playing the drums it would be just noise.
Work / rest / work / rest /
Have you ever had your phone freeze up? You take it to the phone store and the ask the question. When is the last time you turned your phone off? 2010?
What happens when we don’t take a rest. Have ever seen a toddler that did not get his nap? I don’t want a nap. Then they turn into toddler Godzilla and destroy everything.
