If You Know You Have It You Will Want To Show It

Luk 11:33  No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
Luk 11:34  The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
Luk 11:35  Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
Luk 11:36  If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
In my day to say someone was “Lit” was to imply they were intoxicated or in plain language just drunk.
Many times the person themselves would say “man I’m lit”.
I’m full of some spirits; and what’s inside of me has me ready for anything.
We would even remark “he was lit up like a light bulb”.
You know we thought that they had consumed enough alcohol that if you struck a match close to them they would blow up.
But the “Lit” person knew that they had enough of the right stuff inside of them to cause the effect that they were experiencing.

Know Your Purpose For The World And Know What’s Inside Of You.

In the top of this chapter 11 we find Jesus praying as he often did.
His disciples of course observed him at prayer and too noticed the results of Christ’s prayer to the Father. Also it seems that the disciples of John were regular prayers and now the disciple asked Jesus to teach then to pray.
James 5:16 says The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.  You have to become so effective that even the Devil knows your prayer goes through to heaven.
You have to be infilled with so much anointing that you can say in the power of the Holy Ghost; “I’m Lit”
The intoxicated man knows he’s consumed enough to feel the way he does and he has reached that point of intoxication that he desires.
What Jesus says in our main text is that you have to get so much holy light in you that you know you can shine to this world.
You only stay in the corner when you are unsure of your strength in God.
Let’s look at Peter and John in Acts 3 when they went up the temple at the hour of prayer and crossed paths with the lame man. He asks for a benevolent gift from them however Peter advised him that they had no money.
But one thing Peter knew, he knew the certainty of the Holy Ghost and it’s anointing inside of he and John.
And just as Jesus stated; no man lights a candle and then hides it under a bush but rather he places it on a lampstand to give light to the room. Peter knew he and John were empowered to deliver the lame man of his condition......”Silver and gold we don’t have but Peter said I will give what we do have; in the name of Jesus rise up and walk!...................
Peter said “I’m Lit and ready to make something happen”.
Paul says in 2Co 13:5  Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

what’s Inside Of You?

The Light in You
Luk 11:33  No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light.
You should be as the lighting bug....I’ve got some stuff inside of me that make me light up darkness....It makes me show the power of God.....
Jesus came to give you Light and to make you “Lit”.
