Alienation

This word alienation is defined as estranged, to be shut out from one’s fellowship and intimacy. That is the issue that faces humanity at this very hour. Mankind is alienated from fellowship and intimacy with God. And because of that alienation man is lost.

the lost

the lost is another way of describing the people who are perishing. Many people want to dismiss the idea of perishing. But Jesus said that his whole purpose and ministry was to keep men from perishing. But despite his constant plea, men are still lost and dying, and souls are still in despair.

the devil

it is the devil’s strategic directive to keep people lost. The way that he remains successful is by gaining a stronghold on the mind.

And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
