The Sender and Recipients
Revelation 1:4-6 NASB95
John to the seven churches that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,
and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood-
and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father-to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Him who is and who was and who is to come -
it comes from Exodus 3:14, where God identifies Himself as I AM, the explanation of the Jewish Rabbis were that God's meaning was "I was, I still am, and in the future I will be."
Hebrews 13:8 NASB95
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Revelation 3:1 NASB95
"To the angel of the church in Sardis write:
He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars, says this: 'I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.
Revelation 4:5 NASB95
Out from the throne come flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder. And there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God;
Revelation 5:6 NASB95
And I saw between the throne (with the four living creatures) and the elders a Lamb standing, as if slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth.
Isaiah 11:2 NASB95

Hebrews 2:4 NASB95
God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will.
Revelation 1:20 NASB95
"As for the mystery of the seven stars which you saw in My right hand, and the seven golden lampstands: the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.
Revelation 4:5 NASB95
Out from the throne come flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder. And there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God;
Translate this to Oak Hill, we as a church are a lamp, we have a flame that burns before the very throne of God, His Spirit rests on the body (the church) each individual member of this church is a part of the body of the church and therefore a part of the flame that burns before the throne of God.
Does it now make clear the necessity of living Christ like, our individual actions reflect the body as a whole and insomuch is demonstrated directly before God, Jesus Christ walks among the lampstands, by Oak Hill's lamp stand and Revelation 2:5 is a promised reality.
Revelation 2:5 NASB95
'Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place-unless you repent.
