Sermon Tone Analysis

This time, we will dismiss our children up to children's church.

You appreciate that, that Ministry so much.

This morning.

I titled my sermon, just a little different.

I don't normally do this, especially when I'm in the Old Testament and the New Testament reference, but I'm calling this morning, titling.

It the roof 631 principal and and I think it'll make sense of the passage kind of unfold this morning.

Three different new testament passages as as we approach our our passages in Genesis this morning, consider with me a a segment from a sermon that Jesus preached found in Luke.

Luke.

6:31 says treat others.

The same way you want them to.

Starting to come together Galatians.

As Paul is writing the church in Galatians.

You writes this for the whole laws, fulfilled in one word.

In the statement.

You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

He writes later in that very soon.

Better do not be deceived.

God is Not mocked.

Whatever.

A man so's.

This, he will also reap.

We come to our passage today in Genesis.

And really, there's a passage today, could be summed up in one word consequences.

LL, look at the difference stories and events.

Unfolding in Jacob's wife receive consequences of his actions.

We're watching observe.

As of God, allows those four things of his foolish living and in his unwise choices to impact him.

It's true.

That God is forgiving how many this morning sit here, grateful that we worship and serve a forgiving God.

I am immensely grateful.

It's true that you and I did and worship a gracious God.

SS Paul would write to the Ephesians.

He said that his he'll a fascist.

His grace upon us.

I was trying to describe that ravishing to someone this week.

I say, go and take a shot glass and then go and stand under Niagara Falls, and let it be feel.

that is God's grace lavished on you, and I

But we also serve a just God.

Who deals with sin and he allowed the sin in our lives to hold consequences?

And that's what we're going to watch unspool today, as we looked at a Genesis chapter 29, 1 through 30 verse 24.

Once again, I'm not reading all of this.

You guys are reading ahead.

You're prepared.

So as we go into this, we are going to see the the events unfold and Jacob's life and the ramifications that come with it.

Some of it is comical, much of it is Grievous.

I was I was talking to my boys this morning and in Caleb is every Saturday and I I realize I'm a little dating a lot more than I realize.

I normally do this time, it was done for today is about looking at Love & lies in.

The boys are like another one of those.

I didn't realize I did it, but we are looking at And why's this morning and those two should never combine but we see a combined in the passage that were looking at today.

And as we begin this, weird-looking of love.

This is one of the most amazing things about God's word.

It is full of every aspect of life.

You can approach it and find passionate love, you can find Adventure, you can find gaming and in wars and, and poetry and wisdom.

You know why?

Because John's word deals with life real life and many in this room have sought after love.

Pursued, love in the first one team versus of of chapter, 29 are unpacking.

Pursuit Of Love.

Remember, Jacob is leaving.

His family is Homeland everything behind.

In the pursuit of law of finding a wife.

And also not being killed by his brother, you know, there's certain things is for us to pursue love that was one of them and we find some similarities in in the story of The Narrative as Adam display versus as we look back.

Isaac Pursuit Of Love everywhere back.

And I have received that Abraham sent his servant to find a wife to the same family, and received the pursuit of Rebecca receive at Abraham.

And is his servant as he pursued that pursuit in a very Godly manner.

We see very similar things.

But we also see some stark contrast as we look at Jacobs Pursuit.

As as the servant pursued in a wife for Isaac.

We see him.

Fervently pursuing God in prayer and supplication.

Jacob has has had that experience with the Lord and Bethel talk with God at Bethel.

but, you know, as as the events unfold way, we don't see prayer as intimately involved in in what occurs when no doubt in the writer is clear to show that there is God's fingerprint guys working and guiding as eating in the pursuit of And if we find him in the opening verse versus 129 BC that there's a bunch of Shepherds that are coming together, and they're gathering around.

This was difficult.

This is how they watered their sheep and the Shepherds when they're just there waiting.

There's this rock and it's interesting in the passage.

It keeps mentioning this large rock, this massive rock that covers this rock that they waited to move to everybody got their that covered the well, it just says it over and over.

You get the idea of this rock is in central here.

Okay, it's big.

And all these shepherds are just kind of the hair with this gathered together.

And typically, you didn't do that.

So the evening time, you got those, the sheets together in the evenings and the shepherd's would all be together in and they would be protected but this was middle of the day at the well, nobody's doing anything.

They're just waiting.

These like is interesting as well.

As we see this, we give Glenn Jacobs work ethic.

I am in considered what we see in verse 7, looking for 7. It's not on the screen.

He said it is still high day.

It is not time for the livestock to be gathered water, the sheep and go faster.

I mean think about he's telling these shipped to do their job.

I mean that's pretty bold.

But here is the work at they can.
