Grandeur & Grace

Our God is both high above the heavens and close at hand. In every situation of life it is comforting to know that the One we pray to, depend on, and love, is great beyond calculation and close enough to hear the whispered cry of our tortured souls. Grandeur is required of God, for small gods are not gods at all. Grace is the surprising and comforting part of God, since if He were great but not close we’d have no God at all, and if He were close but not gracious, we’d have no hope.
