In your baptism, God forgave you all your sins. In your baptism, all your sins were are put to death and buried. It is as though you were on the cross with Jesus, and you died with Jesus. All your sins – past, present, and future – were crucified and buried.
Just as Christ came back to life after His death and burial, so you, in your baptism, you are alive to God to walk by faith in newness of life.
Paul says we are to
Colossians 3:10 ESV
10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.
God wants us to be like Jesus in our thinking, in our speaking and in our doing.
Colossians 3:14 ESV
14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
Help us, Lord Jesus, to put on love every day, that we may be just like you, IN ALL THINGS. Amen.
