Revelation 14:6-10 “Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— 7 saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” 8 And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” 9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.”

Revelation 1:11 “11 “What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”
This passage places the three angels message right in Church. The recipients is the church. this means it is the church to proclame and not the angels. it is the believers, the called, to proclaim
The three angels message presents before all believers the most urgent message of time. Having been commssioned to go to all the world, we are here being presented with the content of the mesaage to proclaim.
The three angels message presents before all believers the most urgent message of time. Having been commssioned to go to all the world, we are here being presented with the content of the mesaage to proclaim.
the points of this message are twofold: fear God and worship God.
These three angels presents three categories of the meassage for this age.
1. Fear God and give him glory
2. Worship Him
3. Proclamation of victory over sin-(v7)
4. Warning againist divided loyalties (9-11)
1. FEAR GOD AND GIVE HIM GLORY
The first and most urgent message is to proclaim the supremacy of God in the universe.
we are living in an age which has slowly removed God from the equation. The very primative idea of a supreme God who is in charge of affairs of the world is aelien to this generation. the sophistry in the technological advancement as created more trust in man than God.
There are many who believe that man can control his own destiny, that what is important is good government, good education, good medicine, good social services, and on and on
All of these are necessary and we should diligently labor to have the best of everything. But these are not the end of life
They cannot help us beyond this life. Only God can. Government and good services are not the savior of man, God is. we must recognize the centrality of God in our lives, fear him, worship him, and give him glory.
Godly life is no longer the covetted lifestyle but a mockery of the age. You are not cool as devaut christian.
Jesus saw that age would come and sweep many and for this he commisioned the church to blow the trumpent and tell the dwellers of the earth that they are occupying somebody’s property and the tenancy agreement must be honored.
You cannot be a tenant and treat the landlord with contempt. You must recognize the ownership of the house and pay the land lors his due. oh yes you must recognize God’s ownership of our lives and we must give Him his due glory.
Yes God owns us, by creation and by redemption.
Hebrew3:4 “4 For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.”
Genesis 14:19 “19 And he blessed him and said: “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth;”
Psalms 50:10 “10 For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills.”
Ephesians 2:4-5 “4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),”
1 CORINTHIANS 6:20 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”
1 CORINTHIANS 7:23 “23 You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men.”
Agoradzo, is associated with markets. In the context of redemption, it conveys the idea of buying a slave. We can interpret this word to mean “being bought in a slave market.”Exagorazo, is made up of two words: ex, which means “out of,” or “removal from,” and agorazo, “being bought in a slave market.” Putting the two words together, exagorazo means “being bought out of a slave market.”
payement done is lutroon-redemption prize-blood of Jesus.
2. Worship God
Amidst the temptations of Jesus He boldly said,
Matthew 4:10 “ ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”
Exodus 34:14
for you shall not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God
Psalms 29:2 “2 Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”
Isaiah 42:8 “8 I am the Lord, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images.”
Proclamation Jesus’s victory over Babylon (7)
Babylon symbolized the political, economic, and religious center of a godless society.
The prophets of God testifies of the victory over babylon.
Isaiah 21:9 “9 And look, here comes a chariot of men with a pair of horsemen!” Then he answered and said, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen! And all the carved images of her gods He has broken to the ground.”
Jeremiah 50:2 “2 “Declare among the nations, Proclaim, and set up a standard; Proclaim—do not conceal it— Say, ‘Babylon is taken, Bel is shamed. Merodach is broken in pieces; Her idols are humiliated, Her images are broken in pieces.’”
we are to proclaim it loudest. do not conceal it, but tell it to the world
4. Justice will be served (9-12)
Revelation 14:9 “9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand,”
We must tell the righteous that justice will be served. Justice will triumph. True justice will be executed upon earth. All the ungodliness and evil and all the injustices of this earth committed against God and man shall be corrected.
Jugement
We must remind the evildoers that the day of vengeance is coming and they shall partake of the cup of the wrath of God.
John 3:36 “36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.””
Romans 1:18 “18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,”
2 peter 3:7 “7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.”
Psalms 75:8 “8 For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, And the wine is red; It is fully mixed, and He pours it out; Surely its dregs shall all the wicked of the earth Drain and drink down.”
We mus remind them that the ungodly will drink the cup of God’s wrath: and John in vs. 10, says the cup is without mixture.
Nothing else will be mixed with His wrath, no love, no feelings of sympathy, no regret, no compassion. The full wrath of God will fall upon the ungodly.
We must proclaim that God is perfect in love and perfect in justice and he serves both in equal measure.
Will you stand that day?
