Scene from Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Two Hobbits are running through a forest trying to escape their enemy.
As they are scared, being chased down, felling all alone and helpless, they try to escape by climbing up into the trees. Their enemy has them cornered and when they think that all hope is lost, something unexpected happens. The tree comes to life and stomps their enemy.
When we are not fully aware of our true surroundings, we can get caught up in the drama unfolding before our eyes and fail to see something or someone much bigger is present. When we feel scared, chased down, all alone and helpless, we need to remember that God is Bigger than our enemy. God is Bigger than our circumstances. God is Bigger than this world we live in. God is certainly Bigger than Me!
