Evil vs. Good - Free will

There is no Race like our culture tries to enforce on us which promotes Diversity. The ONE RACE IS THE - HUMAN RACE.
Everyone I encounter always objects to the different races in our culture - White, Hispanic, African American
Example: Echinoderm (Star fish family) found on the CAMBRIAN scale of history
- Looking at the Star fish today and look at the star fish 4 thousand years ago there was changes in color and differences in looks.
- Arrow Worm
- White Tiger was discovered in 1915. In nature things change and develop differently within its various kind.
Pastor Darin when he was an engineer told me of a story when he had to crawl down a 100 foot man-hole for engineer. While he was down there he saw a bright WHITE cockroach. He caught it and brought it up with him. --- while he was at his truck the cockroach changed from being white to the DARK color we normally see.
Why is this important?
Location also has a lot to do with change.
People from the middle east have darker skin and the breads are very thick. Its hot.
People from Ireland/Irish tend to have whiter skin that burns easier with light colored facial hairs.
Location matters in nature and matters with the human race.
Genesis 11 - Tower of Babel - describes the scattering of the people and the different languages that were given to the human race.
All people have one common Ancestry.
Unity of mankind was found in only two people of the Human Race.
The TWO That were created first.
Genesis 1:26-27
Genesis 1:26–27 ESV
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

1. We as human beings were created in the likeness of God.

Not a physical form but a moral and spiritual refection of God.
We are not God, not even close to being God.
a. But we have a likeness of His reflection:
- Capable to Love - Capable of Goodness
- Capable of Righteousness
- Capable of holiness
Capable of Faithfulness
When God created them and breathed into them the breath of life, they became living beings.
Spirit - Genuine Inclination toward God and connection to walk and talk with Him.
Soul - Mind, Will, and Emotions.
Body - Sensor Apparatus- Sight, Touch, Smell, Hearing, Smell, and Taste.
1 Thessalonians 5:23
1 Thessalonians 5:23 ESV
Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
God made a garden:
Genesis 2:8–9 ESV
And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 2:8-9
Genesis 2:8–9 ESV
And the Lord God planted a garden in Eden, in the east, and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground the Lord God made to spring up every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
The Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil
After making the Garden - God places man into the garden with a COMMAND
Genesis 2:15–17 ESV
The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

God commanded them to not eat from the Tree of knowledge of good and evil.

God gave them charge to take care of the garden, and eat everything except one thing.
Everything was good around them.
Genesis 3:1-7
Genesis 3:1–7 ESV
Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” But the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.
Tree of Life & Tree of knowledge of good & evil.
Serpent - was used by Satan/Lucifer as an instrument to tempt Eve.
Adam and Eve already had Good in their life. They did know how good everything was until Taking of the fruit that was forbidden
The knowledge of evil.
You can’t know good unless you know evil.
You can no the feeling of joy unless you had suffering.
You cant no no what courage is unless you know what discouragement is.

B. The Temptation

1. Serpent - DID GOD REALLY SAY?
Not to have sex before marriage?
Attacking the Commands of God.
Our Culture attacks Gods Word.
Compromise with the Culture, we compromise just like Eve.
2. Serpent Lies - YOU WON’T DIE BUT YOU WILL BE LIKE GOD!
You know best, you can be the God of your own life and make your own decisions.
The more you focus on something, the more you reason, the more it influences choice.
This was the BAIT.
Making Eve think - God is trying to hold something Good from you.
But it reality God has given you everything that is good.
A. Once they took of the forbidden Fruit - They experience the knowledge of Evil.
- By feeling evil. You can have knowledge of it unless you experience it.
- First - Shame of there bodies. Couldn’t even be naked without feeling ashamed.
Genesis 3:8-13
Genesis 3:8–13 ESV
And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?” And he said, “I heard the sound of you in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked, and I hid myself.” He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?” The man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.” Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this that you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

HID FROM GOD

Avoid goodness. Avoiding God. Avoiding Truth.
Not taking responsibility of their mistakes.
Blaming Game - The man blamed God and the woman, the woman blamed the Serpent.
Not taking responsibility of their actions/mistakes.
Many of us today can’t take responsibility of our sin.
WELL THE PEOPLE I HANG OUT WITH DO IT. SOCIAL
Instead of honesty. We see Adam & Eve in Denial/ Pride.
Acceptance of sin - but neglect of personal responsibility.
My family would always warn me growing up about not to do certain things growing up.
They were trying to keep me from evil or destruction.
We don’t listen.

What is sin?

Sin originated in abusing the freedom God gave to human-beings. Free will.
Evil is a matter of relationship.
Knowing God is Good, Not knowing God is evil.
Sin, is rejecting and refusing the glory of God, the will of God, and the Word of God.
- Sin is the breaking away from ever wanting to be obedient to God, faith in God and making decisions to reject everything that comes from God.
Basic understanding of Sin is the exaltation of self and reject the divine Commands of God.
After sin came into the world we now had an inclination to God.
Once Sin Came into the world through disobedience we have an inclination to sin.
A. Death was the first thing that happen just like God said would happen.
- Physical Death — Spiritual Death

Sin brought an alienation and separation to God.

God Kicked them out of the Garden - Picking the Tree of knowledge of good and evil OVER the Tree of Life.
That command was broken and violated, disobedience, broke the command of God.
When you break a command or the divine law there is consequences.
Just like if we were to break the law in our culture. There is consequences.
Disease, pestilence, plagues, sickness, and death.
The very Soil was cursed. Genesis 3:14-19
Romans :6:23
Romans 6:23 ESV
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Spiritual Death - Disobedience.
Physical Death - Rebellion.
Second Death - Eternal Separation
Rev. 2:11
Revelation 2:11 ESV
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who conquers will not be hurt by the second death.’

WHAT DID JESUS DO? WHAT IS THE FREE GIFT?

Romans 5:15-21
Romans 5:15–21 ESV
But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man’s trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. And the free gift is not like the result of that one man’s sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brought justification. For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. Therefore, as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men. For as by the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so by the one man’s obedience the many will be made righteous. Now the law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through righteousness leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Sin came from one man Adam
- By his disobedience every received death and defiled all.
But the free gift of God came from Jesus Christ the Son of God who came as a man.
- His obedience was much more powerful then disobedience of Adam.
Jesus Christ brought justification and righteousness.
Jesus came to rescue us out of this corrupt world.
For those who believe.
Colossians 1:13
Colossians 1:13 ESV
He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,
John 3:3
John 3:3 ESV
