I brought along two things today. (Running Shoes and a bible)
A pair of new running shoes. I bought them a couple of months ago, hoping to use them a lot. I haven’t worn them as much as I could or should, but I am still planning on using them. I won’t be doing a lot of running, but I plan to do a lot of fast walking. I bought them to use every day because walking and running is great exercise for our bodies to be strong for life.
1 Corinthians 9:24–25 NIV - Anglicised
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last for ever.
(Bible) - I brought something else along that’s even more important that my running shoes. It is my bible.
This is something I am using every day. I use it to know Jesus better, to walk with Jesus in His Word. I use it every day to be stronger in my faith and my love for Jesus so that I am strong to run the race of my faith and win the best prize of all, everlasting life in Jesus’ name.
I hope you are ready to walk with Jesus every day, to read the bible and growing stronger with every day and every step in Jesus.
Thank you, Lord Jesus, for coming into our world, to be our Savior. Help us Holy Spirit, to grow stronger, in faith, as we walk with Jesus, in the bible, every day. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
