It just means you stop thinking at some point.

Let me just give me an example of God as the Trinity. God is one. God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Yeah, we we can only briefly touch on this. Okay. So let's just try to explore this for just a minute. Okay. So God is one. God is Father Son and Holy Spirit.

Father, Son and Holy Spirit, all three are all knowing. Okay, even if we feel guilty, God is greater than our feelings, for you knows everything 1st, John 3:20. That's the Father, the Son. Now, we understand you his disciple. Say now. Now we understand that, you know, everything there's no need to question you from this. We believe you came from God, John 16 Three, Holy Spirit, but it was to ask the god, revealed these things by Holy Spirit. Vs. Spirit searches out, all things and shows us The Deep secrets of God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all all knowing. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all all present there. All of them. The father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all all loving, that omnipotent benevolent omnipotent Evelyn. That's a $3 word for you. Our soul is a thing that's being saved. And it means in this life. We become more and more like Jesus and our body. On the other hand, is that thing that shall be saved because one day we shall be like him, but we will see him like he is, and we will have physical bodies forever and ever. We are three part being just like, God is a three-part being we should understand. God is a Triune God easily. But on the other hand, if you can ever understand yourself as a Triune person, you're one step ahead of the rest of us because most of us, just stop thinking at some point because it makes her brain hurt. God is God. And how he's chosen to reveal himself to us in. The first instance is father.

Now. The problem is we take it for granted that God is our father. It's we say it. We sing it. What kind of difference does it make in our life?

Few people stop to think. What it really means that God is our father.

Many of us have had cruel, abusive, or absent fathers in. And it can, how can we relate to the god of the universe is using the same name as someone who is hurt us? Or abandon us. Our group. It's forgotten us. Does it really matter? Will gie Packer that has this quote. I think it's in his book, knowing god, but I'm not sure you said, if you want to judge how well, a person understands Christianity, find out how much he makes of the thought of being God's child and having daughters as father, if this thought, if this is not the thought that prompts and controls his worship and his prayers and his whole outlook on life. It means he does not understand Christianity very well at all. It means everything to understand that God is your good father. That's what we're going to look like, look at today. If we can't see, God is our good father. Our view of this world and our place in it gets stunted. Jesus wants us to have life and life to the full. Broke the Bible. God Is Spoken of as father. But it might surprise you how little it spoken of in the Old Testament in the Hebrew scripture.

We find God is the father of the nation of Israel. Eight times. We see god mentioned is a God, the father of certain individuals, another 15 times. And nine times, we see the father imagery being present like God, we know he's acting like a father and he's been characterized as a father.

It's interesting that. In the Old Testament in the Hebrew scripture, there's also 10 places that got is characterized as a female with female images. You know, it's surprises because we are mated made in the image of God. He made us in His image in male and female he created them. So yes, God has all of those attributes. He Associates with a mother giving birth. He Associates with a mother. Nursing a child. He is. So, C8 is a mother bear ripping at the parade who they came after her. Kids were all the lying isn't waiting for the ones to do the pounds because her kids need food.

God.

In the New Testament, something shifted and changed.

We see Jesus at the start of his ministry, going down into the water and coming up and the spirit descends on him, like the Dove and a voice. From Heaven, says, this is my beloved Son in whom I am. Well pleased. And then he goes into the desert and then he starts his ministry near the start of his ministry. He has his Sermon on the Mount And The Sermon on the Mount. He uses the term father 14 *. When it's only alluded to 30 times in the hole of the Old Testament.

Jesus thought it was so important for us to understand God as father. He knew it made all the difference in how we live this life and walk this walk. I'm going to take some time and read through a huge port in a huge portion. It'll seem like a long time if you're out of weed. It interesting and you don't stay entertained, but I'm going to read what Jesus said on The Sermon. On the Mount starting in verse 43 of Matthew 5. Try to pick up the times. He says, father, okay. You've heard the law that says, love your neighbor and hate your enemy, but I say to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. You be acting is true children of your father in Heaven, or he gives son like the both of you evil in the good. He sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even correct her up Tax Collectors, do that much. And if you are kind to only your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even the pagans do that? But you are to be perfect. Even as your father in Heaven is perfect. Watch out, don't do your good deeds before it publicly to be admired by others, for you'll lose your reward, from your father. In Heaven. When you give to someone in need, don't do it is at the Hypocrites, do blowing their trumpets in the synagogue and on the streets, calling attention to their acts of Charity. I tell you the truth. They have received the reward, all the reward they're ever going to get. When you give to someone in need, don't let your left hand, know, what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private and your father who sees everything will reward you. When you pray don't be like the Hypocrites who love to pray publicly on the street corners and in the synagogue where everyone can see them. I tell you that is that is all the reward they're ever going to get But when you pray, go away by yourself and shut the door behind you and pray to your father in private. Then your father who sees everything will reward you. And when you pray don't Babble on and on as the Gentiles do they think their prayers are answered merely because merely by repeating their words again, and again don't be like that for your father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him. Free like this. Our Father in Heaven, may you name me? Your name be kept. Totally me your kingdom coming soon. Be your will be done on Earth as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need and forgive us, our sins as we forgive, as we have forgiven, those who have sinned against us and don't lead us to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one. If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your father will not forgive your sins. And when you fast don't make it obvious as the Hypocrites do for they. Try to look miserable into shovel. So people will admire them for their fasting. I tell you the truth. That's the only reward they will ever get. When you fast comb your hair, wash, your face than normal, notice that you're fasting except your father in Heaven. Who knows what you do in private and your father who sees everything will reward you. Don't store up your Treasures here on Earth, where moths, eat them and rushed destroys them and we're Steve's break in and steal store up your Treasures in Heaven, where moth and rust? Cannot destroy and where thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is the desires of your heart will be. Also your eyes, the like a lamp that provides light to your body. When your eye is healthy. Your whole body is filled with light. Watch your, when your eye is unhealthy, your whole body is filled with darkness and it's a light. You think you have is actually Darkness, how deep that darkness is. No, one can serve two masters for your leader, hate one and love. The other will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God, and then being slave to money. That's why I tell you not to worry about everyday life, whether you have enough food and drink or whether you're are the clothes that you wear is not life more than food and but your body more than clothing. Look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store food in the barn and your heavenly father feeds them. Aren't you far more valuable to him and they are getting all your worries at a single moment to your life. And why worry about your clothing. Look at the little Lilies of the Field and how they grow, they don't work or make clothes and yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. God cares, so wonderfully for the wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow. Will he not certainly care for you? Why do you have so little faith?

So don't worry about these things. Saying what will we eat? Or what we drink or what? We wear these things dominate, the thoughts of unbelievers for but your heavenly father already knows all your needs. Seek first, the kingdom of God, above, and all else and live righteously and he will give you everything you need. So don't worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today.

Your father is in heaven. Your father sees what is done in secret and will reward you. Your father knows what you need your father sees what is done in secret and reward. You your father forgives you your father sees what is done in secret and rewards you your father feeds, your father knows what you need. Your father is perfect.

I know many people have a hard time thinking of God as father because of their experience with their Earthly father. Often when people are abused or abandoned or offended. They find it almost impossible to think of God in terms of father Jesus. They're okay with Holy Spirit. Uses their friend, but they can't see God as father.

But this is how God defines himself for us. And that's the name that uses emphasize. We can't let her experience the term define or theology, or theology is defined by the book. And when we do that, our experience catches up. When we understand God is our good. Father. We will. We will know. There is a good father and he's our God.

Have you ever wondered what the father is really like?

We can't look at our own fathers. We can't have a view of the Greek. God, Zeus or Santa Claus. We that we can't have those views of God. We need to let the bible define what, our view of God is, and who he is. In fact, we can look specifically at Jesus because Jesus said, anyone who sees me has seen the father. And that's because the writer of the Hebrew says Jesus was the exact representation of the father. He only did what he saw. The father, do he only hurt said what he heard? The father say.

Spend some time looking at Jesus so we can see the father more clearly.

Jesus, like the party. It was called. Yeah, look up that verse the father rejoices over you with singing.

Jesus loved his friends. And the father calls you, the apple of his eye.

Jesus didn't come to condemn but the father is abounding in love.

Jesus healed, all who are oppressed by the devil and the father forgives, all of your sins and heals all of your diseases.

Jesus had a passion for the host that consume them and the father has a passion for his possessions. That is consuming.

Your father does good acts for you. Your father has good thoughts for you. Your father provides good protection for you and gives you everything you need for life and godliness.

It doesn't matter what your experience has been with your Earthly. Father. God wants you to experience? What the real out, good? The best father can mean for you. The question is, will you let him?

What if you could trust, God is your good father? What if you knew beyond intellectually Beyond something you just heard today would be on something that you've heard time and time and time again, but never really, really felt like you knew, what if you knew that he was working all things together for good. What if you believe you've yet that he had the confidence, not just the whole way out there, but a confidence that he was providing everything you need.

What if you lived out of the love that he has for you, Romans 8:38. And I am convinced that nothing can separate us from the love of God, neither death, nor life, neither angels, nor demons, either our fears for today, or our worries about tomorrow. Not even the power of hell can separate us from God's love. That's what he wants you to live it with. That's what he wants. You to live out of.

It's not enough to hold it as an idea in your head. It's not enough to give intellectual extent. It needs to work out and how you live your life. While what? Does that look like? Well, we just read it.

We just read. How we can live our lives, knowing we have a good father.

The solution I've developed as a tool, based on what Jesus said on The Sermon, on the Mount. I call it the am I trusting God, as father tool? The acronym R Us to remember his action. Is it just not enough? The hold of his idea in her head? We got to do something about it. And that's what Jesus is told us. Action is, we need to accept God's view of others. The sea, we need to capitalize on secrecy when giving the t is. We need to trust God and private in prayer, the eyes we need to impersonate God when we hurt or offended you always we need to obey God when you fast and the enemies you need to neutralize worry in your life. Let's get it on with it. Okay, if you have others, Jesus said, love your enemies. And pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your father in Heaven. Do you?

Do you bless those who persecute you?

You do it, when you're driving around Edmonton, in that idiot. Cut you off in traffic.

Ouch.

God bless him, but really bless him.

Are you ridiculing at work? Because you're a Christian? Maybe it's close family members or friends who block you.

Do you pray God's blessing on them? Do you do what you can to bless them in Jesus's name? Whatever Holy Spirit tells you to do. It could be a cup of cold water. It might be something more but you're doing it because Holy Spirit tells you to do it and you want blessing for them. Because that's who we are. We bless those who curse us.

Question, you can ask Holy Spirit to answer help. You answer is MI blessing. Those who curse me.

You got no one cursing. You awesome. Great. Just wait, it'll happen.

The sea is capitalized on, secrecy when you're giving. Jesus said, when you give to the needy, don't let your left hand, know what your right hand is doing so that you may be giving in secret. Then your father, who sees what is done in secret will reward you. You know how God rewards giving Jesus said in Luke 6:38. I don't have that up on the screen. He's at give and it will be giving you a receive. Your gift will be returned to you in full pressed down shaken together to make room for more running over and pour it into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back. You get that, right? You're not going to be able to give God, you have a good father who loves you and he knows what you need. And he will always make sure you have more than enough to share and more than enough to take care of yourself.

Don't be stingy. Generous.

That's how you capitalize on secrecy. I don't think we have a problem with people standing up saying, I'm so glad I have given so much to this church. I've been in churches when people said that and you don't want to be there. We don't do that here.

But the question I have for you, if are you letting God repay you for what you give? Are you kind of lending your money to God?

There's a difference. God's going to take care of me. I trust him. I got a good daddy who loves me. I can give this.

Accept God's view of others capitalize on the secrecy. When you give the key is trust. God in private in prayer. Jesus said when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your father who is unseen, then your father who sees what is done in secret will reward you and when you pray, don't keep on bag of babbling like the vagins, but do you think they'll be heard because of their many words? Don't be like them for your father. Knows what you need before you ask him.

Do you trust God? And when you pray?

I've said it before. I know that I am not trusting God with my problems. When I don't, when I leave the prayer time, and I don't have peace.

If I have simply brought my problems to God. All I've done is complain.

But when I exchange my problems for his peace.

I don't know if I'll have time. I'm going to give you a bonus tool today and talk more about that.

But you need, you need to exchange your problems for his peace in those times of prayer. Am I exchanging my problems? Forgot speech. That's a question. The eye in action is a you in person that God when hurt or offended, Jesus said if you forgive others, when they sin against you and your heavenly father will forgive you also, but if you don't forgive others, your sins, your heavenly father won't forgive you.

Is there anyone you need to forgive?

I think in my entire life I've had one person have the energy to come to the top of his head as soon as I asked him.

He. Yeah, he was seeing demons. He wanted help to get rid of the Demons. And when we got to forgiveness right away, you knew it was his ex-wife and his father. He was, he was holding on to unforgiveness.

Because somebody in Spiritual Authority, told him do not forgive them until they come and ask for it.

By the show. Him the scripture that says if you do not forgive others from your heart. I'm God's father's going to hand you over to the torturers until you repay in full.

And he repented, and you forgave and he didn't see demons anymore.

if Holy Spirit, bring someone to your mind for give

If you are bitter against somebody because you've been wrong, it, it can be a small thing. You can be a huge thing. It could be your father and he's you can't relate to God as father because your father has been such a terrible father, will guess what the antidote is? Forget him. That's how you start seeing God as your father. You need to forgive the father. That's been so terrible to you.

It's not easy. You need help. Yes. What God has given you. Everything you need for life and godliness will help you. we can help you, if you're Even if you watch it online, we can set things up there with you.

So accept God's view of others, capitalize on secrecy. When giving trust God in private and prayer, impersonate God, when you're hurt or offended, the oil is, you will be God when you fast. Jesus said, when you fast put oil on your head and wash your face so that it is not obvious to others that your fast and thing only to your father who is unseen and your father, who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

Fasting is spiritual exercise that we don't talk enough about. We hope, I don't know if you practice it. I don't know if, you know, you should practice it. You should practice it. And if you need help. Progressing in a fast, like, don't start on a 40-day fast. Your first fast. You start skipping a meal and maybe skip a few and then skip a few days and then skip 10 days and then go up to 40.

Or whatever you want to do, but let Holy Spirit. Lead you in that. And if it's something that's on your heart, you do it. We can help you with that. Father. God. Do you want me to fast? That's the question. You can ask. Holy Spirit. The Indian action is neutralized worry in your life. Jesus said, don't worry saying, what shall we eat? Or what shall we drink? Or what shall we wear for the pagans run? After these things in your heavenly father knows that you need them.

Do you worry? You know, we all do worry, we all have worries for the day. But the question is, do you know how to deal with your worries?

I came up with it. I formed it. I had it from another time and I just got a set of D. God. What do you want me to do with that? And I had the word stop. Come to my mind. Stop. How do you stop worrying? You stop? Okay. So he asks is to shift to the truth that God cares for you. The tea is to think about what you think about the always to offer your problems for his peace. The p is to fetch gratitude in all things. This actually ties in wonderfully. Understanding God as father. Okay, shifted the truth of God cares for you 1st. Peter. 5:7 says, give all your worries and cares to God for, he cares for you. It starts the note that knowing that you have a good God, who is your father? Who cares for you? If you don't know that God cares for you and for your worries, you're never going to trust him with your words. You need to know. First off, he cares for you. Do I live knowing that he cares about me? Or do I try to figure out everything for myself? You don't have to, you have God. Do you think about what you think about Philippians 4:6? The whole thing's is. Don't worry about anyting. Pray about everything. Thank God in all things. That's where we're going with this. Think about what you think about. Don't worry about anything Philippians 4:6. You can't stop worrying by telling yourself. You're not going to worry. What you do is when the worry comes to your mind is quick, as you can turn it into a prayer. You know, you can do that. As quick as you can turn it into a prayer just a breath for that. You can give a lot of times you don't, we worry about a lot of stuff. So a lot of those worries just go away like that. So, awesome. So, I'm giving it to God. Thank you, God. You're going to take care of this awesome.

You're going to have other worries, that don't go away, that easy. You can tell those are worries. Not now later. I'm going to worry about you later. And what you need to know is that later is the next time you go to God In Prayer. That's when you deal with those worries.

You, you are.

Yeah, you you basically every every time you feel yourself worrying, start with a breath prayer. God. Thank you. You're taking care of it. Thank you. Going to turn this around for good God. Thank you that you are in control. Thank you. You are God, and you are king. And that's a good thing, whatever. Whatever. Comes to your mind. You give it to God, right? In that moment. And if it doesn't go away, is the next thing you offer your problems. First piece, Philippians 4:6 the second part. Don't worry about anything. Pray about everything. You keep your worries to your prayer time. You can make a list. I've got a Notes app on here. I just write things down that I need to think about later. Pray about later. I can leave him in there and then I don't worry about them until later. And the leader is the time I go to prayer.

When we pray, it really is like look at the the songs. How 2/3 of the songs are set up their Psalms of Lament.

And too often in the church, we're told just to forget about our problems or push them aside and know, their real problems. They they, we we are facing real things that need Solutions. And so we can tell God. We don't know what to do, but our eyes are upon you. We have this vast Army coming against me. I don't know what to do. But my eyes are upon you. Then you wait to hear what he says, wait to hear him speak. Wait until you have his peace. You don't have to have many words. It's okay. You comfortable in the silence? Let him he's ready to take your worries because he cares for you.

And as he cares for you, he'll give you his peace. He might give you a solution. He might, you might tell you to do something. He told Jehoshaphat. What did he say? Pick up your position stand firm and see. The Deliverance of the Lord. You got to do something. And then what he tells you to do, do it.

so, in your time of prayer, You lay down the real, the real nice of the problem. It's real. Don't sugarcoat. It. It's real. I don't know what to do. You'll wait for him to speak to give you keys to give you hope to give you a plan to give you the next step to whatever he's going to do. He's God and he cares for you. So you can dress them. He's going to say something.

And then when you have the keys and then or the plan or the peace and the plan, then you get off your butt. And you do something, you do what he's told you to do.

That's how do you exchange your problems for his peace? The PN stopped. As you pledged gratitude in all things. So fluffy and Spore. Don't worry about anyting. Pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for what he's done. Listen.

This is so cute. Romans chapter 1.

Verse 21 says, yes, they knew God, but they wouldn't worship him as God or even give him. Thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas about what God was like, and as a result, there meant Minds became dark and Confused.

That's what happens when you don't have gratitude.

When we don't worship God as God, we're give him. Thanks have gratitude in all things. Our minds become confused and we start seeing Todd, not as our good father who cares for us. We see him as a bully or we see him as a pulling the strings. Or we see him in any other view than what he has revealed himself in scripture to be

and it's almost a circle here. Because if we want that starts with knowing he cares for us, we will never know he cares for us if we have his distorted view because we're not thankful for what we have. And then all we had. But when we're thankful we can see God as God and we can know he cares for us. So we know that we can take our, we can worry about nothing, pray about everything and thank him in All Things. I think the best thing to control in that is gratitude. I can control what I'm thankful for. I can choose to be thankful in all things if Thanksgiving coming up. So, you're going to have reminders about this all over the place. Gratitude is hugest, the game changer. That's how you neutralize worry in your life. You worry about nothing. You pray about everything. You know, you have a father. God who cares?

So that's the am I trusting God through and stopped worry to all my trust in God accept God's view of others, capitalize on secrecy and giving trust God and private in prayer impersonate God when hurt or offended will be glad when you fast and neutralize worry in your life.

Am I trusting, God? Action shows you that you are.

The God of Peace will Empower you to accomplish every good work. Prompted by faith. He is giving you everything you need for life and godliness. Your father God is your father and God is good.

You can trust them, even if you don't trust your Earthly father, he won't abandon you. He won't abuse you. He won't them mean you. He won't diminish. You.

He is God. He is good. Is your father?

The challenge I have for you today is to ask Holy Spirit to reveal if you need to trust God with your whole heart in something.

Maybe you need to bless those. Who curse you. Maybe you need to give in private. Maybe you need to forgive somebody. Maybe you need to fast. Maybe you need to loot your lies. Worry in your life. Whatever. Holy Spirit wants you to do. Focus on. I'm going to ask for God to reveal that to you because it's holy spirit that teaches you all things. Anyway, he'll do that. Your response to any of those things. It's confession and repentance confession. Is your agreeing with God. Yeah. I need to stop worrying in my life. And repentance is I'm going to try to stop worried in my life by doing. What I said we could do.

The second thing I'm going to ask God to reveal and did a second challenge for you is I want you to ask Holy Spirit to reveal a greater Revelation and a growing revelation of God as father. Because what we've been talkin about today. God.

And we don't have the words to really comprehend that who God is and even God, his father, who he is.

Our words are so much more. He's God. He's God. Before the creation of the universe, is he thought of you and planned your life?

He's your father. He loves you. He gave his son so that you can be friends and be connected with be with him forever. He's God. He's done everything to make the way. For you to know that you're his child.

I didn't even get to that part. It's okay.

We are his child. We are.

We are his friend. We need to know that too. And we are his servants. We need to live that out to a servant obeys.

A friend becomes a friend, is because they obeyed. Jesus. That's when you become a friend of God. It's when you obey Jesus.

And we become a child of God. We know where child of God when we keep in step with the spirit and let the spirit grow more of Jesus in our lives.

And in prayer and stand to receive.

So father God, we thank you that you are good. We thank you that you are working all things together for good. We thank you that this is not a contest with the Enemy that you may or may not win. You are God. And you are good.

I pray, Lord. First of all, holy spirit, if there's anything in our life that doesn't line up to the revelation of you. I asked father that you would remind us of it and holy spirit, you would show us how to make it, right?

Lord, we all need to be more and more, and more like Jesus. Show us what we can do today. And this week to become more and more and more like Jesus. And father, I asked for a greater and growing revelation of you as father in our lives. Lord, I pray that we would know the hope to, which we've been called The Glorious inheritance in the Saints and the incomparable great power for all, who us all for us, who believe. I pray.
