Intro

Good morning River City. It is great to be with you today. How good is God to you and me?

When all seems lost, Jesus makes a way!

Genesis 41:1–8 NIV
When two full years had passed, Pharaoh had a dream: He was standing by the Nile, when out of the river there came up seven cows, sleek and fat, and they grazed among the reeds. After them, seven other cows, ugly and gaunt, came up out of the Nile and stood beside those on the riverbank. And the cows that were ugly and gaunt ate up the seven sleek, fat cows. Then Pharaoh woke up. He fell asleep again and had a second dream: Seven heads of grain, healthy and good, were growing on a single stalk. After them, seven other heads of grain sprouted—thin and scorched by the east wind. The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven healthy, full heads. Then Pharaoh woke up; it had been a dream. In the morning his mind was troubled, so he sent for all the magicians and wise men of Egypt. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but no one could interpret them for him.
While Joseph is wasting away in an Egyptian prison God is working.
Be encouraged by this my friends. In the midst of your pain and hardship God is working!
Joseph was seemingly languishing needlessly in prison. God had not just placed Joseph in place confinement, he had placed him in a place of preparation.
Notice here also that Josephs destiny is not just about Joseph. God is working to bring about the maximum good. Not just in Josephs life, but in Israels, in Pharaohs and in Egypts as a whole.
Isaiah 43:19 NIV
See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.

God has made everything beautiful in its time!

Genesis 41:9 NIV
Then the chief cupbearer said to Pharaoh, “Today I am reminded of my shortcomings.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
God had been moving. In His time He chose to work
This is the moment God chooses to move. Why now? Not a year earlier? IDK, but God does.
WE must learn my friends to rest in Gods perfect timing!

True Humility and strength always Glorify God

Genesis 41:15–16 NIV
Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I had a dream, and no one can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.” “I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.”
God has been preparing Joseph in many ways for this moment. Joseph has undergone a crushing that few will go through. God has worked into him His Strength and His humility.
Look here today. True Strength and humility bring Glory to Jesus
The Key to walking into the fullness of Gods plan is recognizing that is isn’t about us!
