Go With Power

18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Power Directed Towards Us Who Believe

Ephesians 1:19 (NKJV) 19 and what is the exceeding greatness of His power(Dumamos:supernatural miraculous) toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power (Kratos:might and strength)

Pisteuo- Believe, Think this to be true

Toward- Directed at the area, Inside or within the location with a purpose

Imagine- a channel of supernatural, miraculous power comming from the throne of heaven directed at you and flowing into you.

With The Purpose of Empowering you

The area around you becomes an atmosphere for power and the miraculous and where Gods Authority over rides all others

Illustration- Authority- Power vested in me -I have the power to pronounce legal marriage on behalf of the Commonwealth of Australia. When i pronounce it it becomes legally binding on both parties. If dont say it it isnt a legal marriage. I dont question its legality i simply pronounce it.

Dont Leave (Go) Before You Receive

Acts 1:4–8 (NKJV)

4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Illustration- Plugged in to the power source- use a dewalt cordless drill and try to drill a hole without the battery. It at best will take me forever. Put the the battery in and drill the hole. This is like trying to fufill the great commision without the Holy Spirit.

Times or Seasons- Its not our role the predict His coming- Many people over the centuaries have ended up looking stupid. You arent going to get a statement from me about Jesus coming tomorrow.

Acts 1:7 (The Message) 7–8 He told them, “You don’t get to know the time. Timing is the Father’s business.

You Will get from me- lets be prepared and found working for the master. not living for self.

Authority Over Satan

Luke 10:19 (NKJV) 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Trample- crush, conquer and subdue by force

Authority-exousia- Authority to rule over

The Enemys Power- Dynamis - supernatural
