What Were You Discussing on the Way?

Journey of life
They Came to Capernaum- they were coming home
When He was in the house- in a familiar place of comfort and acceptance
He asked them
“What were you discussing on the way?- life is filled with discussion
They kept silent
For on the way they had argued with one another about who was the greatest
Sitting Still
He sat down
And called the 12
He said
If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all

Receiving what is Important

What is the most important?
He took a child
Put him in the midst of them
Taking him in his arms
Whoever receives one such child in my name
Receives me
Whoever receives me
receives not me but him who sent me
d

Psalm 46:1–7 ESV
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. Selah There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. The nations rage, the kingdoms totter; he utters his voice, the earth melts. The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah
Genesis 3:19 ESV
By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread, till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.”
This is not the final resting place for Tammie
1 Thessalonians 4:13–18 ESV
But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
