In other words, Buckle Up with the Belt of Truth!

Sugar is actually more addictive than heroin or cocaine. How do we know? Because we can easily addict rats or mice to heroin or cocaine. And they will press a level and get their heroin or cocaine. When we introduce them to sugar water, within two days, the rats will preferentially hit the button for sugar water instead of heroin or cocaine. And we now know that this actually hits the same pleasure centers in the brain that heroin and cocaine hit, but it hits it even harder.

So it’s no wonder that we like sugar. And it’s no wonder that it’s so hard for us to give it up. So think about that the next time you’re craving something sweet. And think about that the next time you’re trying to wean yourself off of sugar.

Truth—Your Body has Appetites (for food and physical pleasure).

Satan uses our appetites to lead us into sin. Eve was so deceived (Genesis 3:6).

When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

Buckle Up! Be disciplined. Paul said, I bring my body under subjection, lest I become disqualified

The Truth: Your Body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit—Sacred / Special.

Buckle Up! Stay Pure: Holy, and Healthy.

Young People: We are Called to Be Different

Joseph was different from his brothers.

Being different is a Good Thing if you are following the Truth of Who You Are in God.

Joseph was totally different from the “young man without sense”—Proverbs 7 by a seductive sneaky girl. “…he does not know that it will cost him his life.”

The Truth: Your Body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit—Sacred / Special.

Buckle Up! Stay Pure: Holy, and Healthy.

Satan has no place, no power… The members of my body are instruments (tools on the utility belt of truth) for God’s purposes. My body is a temple for the Holy Spirit, redeemed, cleansed, and sanctified by the Blood of Jesus.

My members, the parts of my body, are instruments of righteousness, yielded to God for His service and for His glory.

The devil has no place in me, no power over me, no unsettled claims against me. All has been settled by the Blood of Jesus. I overcome Satan by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony, and I love not my life so much that I shrink away from death*. My body is for the Lord, and the Lord is for my body. AMEN.

Truth—The Gift of Sex is given for expression in the bonds of marriage Buckle Up!—Your Virginity must be Protected

Truth—You will be tested

Buckle Up! Resist / Avoid / Run. Flee sexual immorality.

Truth—Those who are strong must protect the weak.

Buckle Up! Safe Sanctuary—Parents, Teachers, Extended Family and the church, must guard the safety of our children. We must not have our heads in the sand.
