This World’s Light Shines, Matthew 5:14
14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
A. Give light to the looking, 2 Cor. 3:2
B. Give directions to the wayward, John 14:6
C. Give sermons to the seeking, Rom.10:14
Trim your light for the looking, wayward, & seeking.
And Exposes the Shamed, Matthew 5:15

15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.
A. Lacking love—Judas (focused inward, Mk.14:44)
B. Lacking boldness—Peter (fearful, Mark 14:66-72)
C. Lacking closeness —Thomas (faithless, John 20:24-29)
D. Lacking dedication—Crowd (fickle, John 6:66)
Turn on the light to expose the leaving as focused-inward, fearful, faithless, and fickle.

· [λαμπω] = shine out, shine forth, gleam, flash📷
