Welcome
Thank you for the opportunity to join you, as we celebrate the life of Daniel Beltran
My name is Oscar Perez and I am the pastor of VividLife Church in Plano
Please join me in prayer
There is a Scripture we find in :
John 16:19

22 So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy.

This Scripture is a reminder of the hope we have in walking into eternity with Jesus
Prayer
Father we as that you join us in this place as we remember the life and wok you done through Daniel
Please continue to confort his family and friends that are gather today
We thank you for the ministry that the Holy Spirit brings us
Teaching
I have no doubt that God has already received and restored Daniel
Now God wants to minister to you, and there is no better place for him to do so than a gathering like this
It was in a gathering like this one that Jesus made a statement that is important for us to remember today.
Scripture (Lazarus dies) -Marta had lost her brother
John 11:23–26

23 Jesus told her, “Your brother will rise again.”

24 “Yes,” Martha said, “he will rise when everyone else rises, at the last day.”

25 Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. 26 Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?”

This is a time for us to believe
Jesus asked this to Martha in one of the most difficult moments of her life. Do you believe?
In seasons like these are when we stop and evaluate what we believe.
Today is your day to believe. It may be a difficult day, but the difficulty faced here produces character to believe

One of the hardest things in life has to be letting go of a loved one

A situation like this separation is painful and transformative
No one expects you to remain the same after experiencing this separation.
But I want you to know that it is in these moments that your soul expands
Moments like this give you an opportunity to:
to understand
grow in your capacity to share compassion with other
to grow in love
This is my wish for Daniels friends and family today
that you all love each other more, and be more united than ever.
That after this loss, they can see a new chapter where God finds you in your moments of pain, and enabled you to love at a deeper level than ever before.
And finally, that this loss wont not feel like you are incomplete
In the scriptures we find how to take courage when we cross a loss
Job 1:21

21 He said,

“I came naked from my mother’s womb,

and I will be naked when I leave.

The LORD gave me what I had,

and the LORD has taken it away.

Praise the name of the LORD!”

That scripture tells us that in the midst of pain we find strength in praising the name of the Lord.
And that story of Job tells us that there is hope
Job 42:12

12 So the LORD blessed Job in the second half of his life even more than in the beginning. For now he had 14,000 sheep, 6,000 camels, 1,000 teams of oxen, and 1,000 female donkeys.

God is faithful
Tomorrow will not be the same because Daniel will not be with you, but his memory will, and also the fidelity of God
Including the work He is doing on you.
Let's run our race with that faith that Daniel model to you

I want to leave you with a scripture that I hope and brings you that Strength and hope that you need to move forward

1 Thessalonians 4:13–18

13 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.

15 We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the believers who have died will rise from their graves. 17 Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. 18 So encourage each other with these words.

it's truly time to encourage each other
