GOD”S FAVOR 1
Genesis 6:5–9 ESV
The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord regretted that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart. So the Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them.” But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God.
Genesis 6:5–9 NVI
Genesis 6:18 ESV
But I will establish my covenant with you, and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
Genesis 6:18 NVI

But Noah found favor

You already have God’s Favor

Many Christians believe they have to somehow earn the favor of God, but the truth is, we already have His favor. God saved us because of His favor toward us.
Ephesians 2:8 ESV
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
Ephesians 2:8 NVI
Simply put, grace is favor.
YOU HAVE FULL ACCES TO GOD
God’s favor is the power that changes things for us. First and foremost, you and I are saved by His favor, and I’m not just talking about going to heaven when we die. To be saved means to be delivered, protected, preserved, healed and made whole.
God’s favor covers every area of our lives! By His favor, He has taken care of everything we will ever need—spirit, soul and body. His supernatural grace is so vast, the Bible says it is going to take all the ages to come for Him to show us all the riches of His grace in the kindness He’s given us in Christ Jesus
Ephesians 2:7 ESV
so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
Ephesians 2:7 NVI
You may be thinking, Oh, I can’t wait until I get to heaven, so I can experience the fullness of God’s favor!
You don’t have to wait! God is pouring out His favor on us right here and now. Even before we were born again, He was giving us His favor. While we were still rebelling against Him, “God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” (Romans 5:8).
It was God’s grace at work in your life that enabled you to be born again. From the moment you stepped into that new life—the moment you made Jesus Lord—God’s favor began working nonstop on your behalf. Being born again was just the starting place for His favor to pour out. And He will pour out grace and more favor to you every moment of your life if you’ll receive it!
Have you made Jesus the Lord of your life? You can do it right now! Simply pray this prayer.
Psalm 5:12 ESV
For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.
Psalm 5:12 NVI
says, “For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield” (NKJV).That scripture is talking about the born-again child of God who serves Him. It is talking about you! Jesus made you righteous. When Jesus shed His blood, He made righteousness available to all mankind, and with it came the favor of God! God’s favor surrounds you constantly! You have been born again into His righteousness.
We should always see ourselves wrapped in God’s favor 24 hours a day. Every morning when you get up, throw off the covers and jump out of bed saying, “I am the righteous; Lord, Your favor surrounds me like a shield.”

2. You Receive God’s Favor by Faith / Tu recibes esta gracia por fe

Now you may be thinking, Gloria, I know a lot of believers who don’t enjoy the kind of favor you’re talking about. Their lives are full of tragedy and disappointment. Why doesn’t God surround them with favor?
God does surround them with favor. They just don’t know it, so they can’t take advantage of what He has given them.
You see, according to 2 Peter 1:2, God’s grace is multiplied to us through knowledge. The first thing you have to do before you can receive the benefits of God’s favor is to know they are yours. Then, you have to receive them by faith. Remember Ephesians 2:8, “God saved you by his grace….” God’s favor provides every possible blessing and goodness He has to give, starting with being saved. Your part is faith—to believe and receive all He has given.
Our grandson Jeremy Pearsons puts it so simply. He says, “Grace is God saying, ‘Here is all the good stuff I have to give you.’ Faith is you saying, ‘Thank You, I’ll take it.’”
So, where do we get the faith to receive? “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17, KJV). We find out the truth about God’s favor, goodness and blessing as we hear His Word on these things. Faith comes, we believe and begin to receive what His Word says.
I remember the first time Ken and I heard that healing belonged to us because it was part of our salvation—part of what Jesus bought and paid for on the cross. Our lives changed that night! We stepped into a new dimension of God’s favor. Until then, we had believed people could be healed, and we always prayed when we got sick. Sometimes we would receive, and sometimes we wouldn’t. But when we realized God’s Word said that healing belonged to us by the blood of Jesus—that it was part of the favor provided by God’s salvation grace—faith came. We received it, and we began to live healed.
That’s exactly how favor works. It’s always surrounding us. Healing was there for Ken and me all the time. It was always part of God’s favor. Once we heard about it, all we did was reach out and take it by faith.

WINING THE BATTLE FOR MY FAMILY / GANANDO LA BATALLA PARA MI FAMILIA 2

Joshua 24:15 ESV
And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Joshua 24:15 (NVI)
FAMILY IS VERY IMPORTANT BUT WE CANNOT BE OBSES WITH THEM
We need to Identify what is taking the place of God
SPORTS
MATERIAL THINGS
EDUCATION
Can take the place of God if we are not careful

1- You Must Act to Rescue Your Family / Tenemos que Actuar para rescatar a nuestra Familia

This might not be an easy Task but it can be done
Remember we God has GIVEN US FAVOR just like Noa
Genesis 6:18 ESV
But I will establish my covenant with you, and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you.
Genesis 6:18 NVI
It takes 2 to stablish a covenant = God has His part, you and I have our parts in the Covenant
To rescue the Family we need
Model a good testimony, not perfection but a good testimony
pray and fast
speak life into your family
talk good about what the Lord is doing in your life
talk good about other people especially the church
Here are some powerful things to help our families
You will have to make this decision

As Joshua recounts the story of the conquest of the Promised Land, he reminds them of what the Lord had done for them:
“And you went over the Jordan
and came to Jericho,
and the leaders of Jericho fought against you,
and also the Amorites, the Perizzites,
the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Girgashites,
the Hivites, and the Jebusites.
And I gave them into your hand.
And I sent the hornet before you,
which drove them out before you,
the two kings of the Amorites;
it was not by your sword or by your bow.
I gave you a land on which you had not labored|
and cities that you had not built,
and you dwell in them.
You eat the fruit of vineyards and olive orchards
that you did not plant” (vv. 11-13).
Joshua wants the people never to forget they owed everything to God. After all, the Israelite army had won battle after battle, often routing the enemy from the field. It would be natural to start thinking, “We’re something special.” But that thought is always deadly. Joshua knew that once the people took credit for their victories, they would soon turn away from the Lord altogether.
Has God blessed you? Talk about it often.
We ought to do with our families what Joshua does with the people of Israel. It’s a good thing to review past blessings and to make a written record of God’s faithfulness. We need to say to our children, “Sweetheart, do you remember when you were so sick, we prayed to God, and you got better?” “Do you remember when Dad lost his job and we were afraid, so we prayed, and God gave him a new job?” “Do you remember when we prayed for Joe and Cheryl to be saved, and six months later they accepted Christ?” A good memory of God’s blessings is a bulwark against backsliding.
Has God blessed you? Write it down. Think often about it. Tell it to your children, your family, your friends. Pass it along so that succeeding generations can tell the story after you are gone to heaven.

b) Teach the Family to Worship God/Ensenale a la familia Adorar a Dios

‘‘Now fear the Lord” (Joshua 24:14a). When we think about the fear of the Lord, many people get the idea of cringing in terror. The biblical concept is much broader than that. Fearing the Lord means having such a deep respect for God that we want to please him in all we do. One writer says it refers to the “inner devotion” that causes us to honor God.
How do we share this “inner devotion” with our families? It’s more an atmosphere than a program. When the parents truly fear God, their children will learn to fear him too. When they love the Lord, it will be natural for the children to love him too. When they sing hymns, their children will learn the words. When they pray, their children will quietly pray with them.
Family religion is better caught than taught
Men bear a heavy responsibility in this area. I am speaking to dads, husbands, grandfathers, great-grandfathers, and uncles. I am also speaking to young men, high school boys, college men, young single men, and older single men. Men of every age, it starts with you. For too many years we have delegated spiritual leadership to the women while we went out into the world to make a living. We have laid a burden on the women God never intended them to bear all alone. God meant spiritual leadership to be a shared burden, but the men must take the initiative if we truly want God’s blessing.
Recently I saw a famous painting by Norman Rockwell that appeared on the cover of Saturday Evening Post in 1959. It shows a suburban family going off to church, led by the oldest sister followed by mom who is followed by the younger sister. All three women are dressed for church. Following them is a young boy who appears to be going with some reluctance. What’s the problem? At the center of the painting is dear old dad slumped in a chair, in his pajamas, reading the paper with a cigarette in his hand. As junior walks by, he casts a longing eye at his father. He’s going to church, but he’d rather be with his dad.
Men, when will we learn that our actions speak louder than our words?

c) Become a Student of Obedience.

Now fear the Lord and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord (v. 14b).
The word “serve” is used in various forms six times in two verses. This is obviously the burden on Joshua’s heart. He wants the people to willingly choose to serve the Lord. He specifies what that means when he adds “in all faithfulness.” Every area of life must be surrendered to the Lordship of Christ. “All faithfulness” means there can be no “hidden rooms” that we reserve for ourselves. It means putting aside the false gods worshipped by the pagans. Matthew Henry calls them “dunghill deities” because they have no power to save, only the power to corrupt.Get rid of your Dunghill Deities!
I received a letter from a prisoner who had received one of my books. In the letter he shared this testimony of God’s grace in his life:
I am a new creation in Christ Jesus. I used to have all sorts of magazines like Penthouse, Easy Rider, American Rodder, Playboy, and Hot Rod. But today as I look around, none of those exist—only Bibles and good reading. I enjoy spending time reading the Bible. I can’t tell you how many times in my life I have tried to get what I saw others had from that book but never did. But one of my brothers here told me to pray for understanding. Just like that, reading became joyful. My Lord has changed my life, I never could have. I praise God for saving my life by sending me to a place where he could slow me down and take me from Satan. Thank you, Jesus.
I believe this man’s conversion is genuine because when he came to Christ, he got rid of the gods from “beyond the River.” The old literature went out with his old life and was replaced by the Word of God and good Christian material. That’s a sign of the genuine work of God’s Spirit in his heart. It’s also a sign he is becoming a student of obedience.

but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. “The eye is the lamp of the body. So, if your eye is healthy, your whole body will be full of light, but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money. “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
