The Fall of Lucifer

“You were the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, emerald, and carbuncle; and crafted in gold were your settings and your engravings. On the day that you were created they were prepared. You were an anointed guardian cherub. I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God; in the midst of the stones of fire you walked. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, till unrighteousness was found in you.

He was the most Beautiful Angel.

He thought His Beauty was His own. But his beauty was given to him by God.

Precious Stones are what covered him.

He was a worship angel but also a guardian angel.

- Possibly an archangel. - Organs were on His wings

Lucifer was in the Garden of Eden

Angels that brought worship to God where always around the throne room of God.

He was in the Garden of Eden.

The same Garden Adam and Eve were in when they were tempted by the Serpent.

The same Garden God walked in during the cool of the day

Genesis 3:8

And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden.

So Lucifer was in the Garden when Adam and Eve were being tempted by the serpent.

But Who was using the serpent to tempt Adam and Eve?

How did the serpent tempt Adam and Eve?

“You will be like God”

Morning Star - means Lucifer.

“How you are fallen from heaven, Morning Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! You said in your heart, ‘I will ascend to heaven; above the stars of God. I will set my throne on high; I will sit on the mount of assembly in the far reaches of the north; I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ But you are brought down to Sheol, to the far reaches of the pit. “May the offspring of evildoers nevermore be named!

A. God tells us what Lucifer was saying in His Own Heart.

“I WILL”

“I will make myself like the Most High”

B. Lucifer had sinned in his heart. It was a Sin of Pride - To Be Like God.

Eve was Tempted with the same Sin that was already in Lucifers Heart.

Lucifer said in his heart I WILL make myself like God.

Lucifer used the serpent to tempted Eve with similar words “You will be like God”

Since God ruled over all of creation.

Lucifer had to find people to rule over.

How? By humanity obeying Lucifer they became disobedient to God.

Lucifer was using the serpent as a instrument to tempt Adam and Eve

Famous quote in the Satanic Bible is “Do What Thy Will”

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The Keys of Death

KEYS OF DEATH WERE Satans. He controlled Death.

The Fall in the Garden - Was the Fall of Humanity, The Fall of Lucifer, and The Fall of all the Fallen Angels (Genesis 3)

And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

Not only did Lucifer and humanity fall but also a third angels were deceived by Lucifer to be like God and they were thrown out of heaven.

Theses fallen angels are now demons

Demons try to oppress believers and possess unbelievers.

Jesus was in a dispute with Jewish leaders who wanted to kill him.

Jewish leaders were saying that their Father was father Abraham because they were decedents of Abraham.

Jesus said to them if You are children of Abraham why are you trying to do what Abraham never did, and try to Kill Me.

Jewish leaders respond - God is our Father.

Jesus responded if God is your Father than you would love me because I come from God.

Jesus they tells them who their real Father is.

John 8:44 (ESV)

You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

A. Satan - is called - “Deceiver” - “Adversary”

- “God Of This Age” - “Prince of the Power of the Air” - “Tempter’ -

“ Accuser of the Brethren” - “The Wicked One” - “An Angel of Light”

“Dragon” - “Ruler of this world” - “Beelzebul” - “Roaring Lion”

The Devil and his demons work in deception. Deception is trying to convince someone that something is true when it is false.

Father of Lies - It is the very DNA of the devil. Truth is not in him.

TELL A LITTLE WHITE LIE - All lies are from the Devil and his demonic kingdom.

IF the sky is BLUE but everyone in the world says it is ORANGE. YOU KEPT HEARING PEOPLE SAY ITS ORANGE. WOULD YOU SAY IT IS ORANGE? OR WOULD YOU HOLD THE TRUTH THAT IT IS BLUE?

This is what we are dealing with in our world today. Some people claim they are a boy when there DNA is a girl.

But everyone in the around her is now calling this girl a boy. What would you do?

What Lies have you believed about yourself? We all have believed lies in our life.

A. Satans Character: John 10:10

John 10:10 ESV

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Understand these are spiritual actions that lead into physical actions.

The unseen realm.

Steal - Stole the connection we had with God. Steal time, Steal who you think you are - identity, Steal you away from God.

Kill - Insecurity, Faith, Trust, Kill your Mind

Destroy - Path God has for you. Eternal Security

1 John 3:8 ESV

Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.

What Jesus did on the Cross and the Resurrection of the Dead destroyed the works of the devil.

-Satan didn’t take anything away from God. But Satan did take it from us.

- Satan has to approach God and ask what he can do. JOB

Satan had power over death until Jesus Christ died

- Defeated Death

- Defeating Sin

Where did Jesus Go When He Died?

1 Peter 3:18–19 (ESV)

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, in which he went and proclaimed to the spirits in prison

Everyone that died from Adam to Jesus were placed in Sheol (Prison of Death)

Jesus preach the message to the people that were already in death.

Jesus knew who would receive the message of the Gospel and the forgiveness of sin in Sheol.

But the message still had to be preached. The opportunity.

Matthew 27:50–53 (ESV)

And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and yielded up his spirit. And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split. The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

The People that received the Gospel. Received Jesus as Lord and Savior, and received the Forgiveness of Sin

They were Resurrected with Jesus Christ.

Jesus Took the Keys of Death and Hell when He overcame death by resurrecting.

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.
