Jesus is a Help for your Troubles

1 Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.

Jesus had just told His disciples that He was leaving and that He was going to be betrayed.

Questions abound

Who is the betrayer...When is He leaving…Where are you going...Will the Jews kill Him?…What will we do with you?

These are questions that invoke fear, anxiety, uncertainty…they are unsettling, troubling

Jesus says...Now is the time for FAITH, not FEAR. (Advice that we can use today)

Faith over Fear

Replace your concerns with Confidence. Be confident in what you know about God

What you know to be true, The convictions you felt, The messages you have heard, The miracles that you have seen, Go back to your instincts…not your natural instincts…but your supernatural instincts.

All the things I taught you…have brought you to this point. You belive in GOD, belive in Me.

Jesus provides a Home for the Travelers

2 “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.

3 “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

4 “And you know the way where I am going.”

5 Thomas *said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?”

Where are you going…That’s the question Jesus addresses first.

I’m going to prepare a place for you.
