Moses’ Complains to God
A. Moses feels the weight of being responsible for the Children of Israel.
B. Moses was unhappy in his leadership role.
C. Uncaring, irresponsible, without compassion.
Textual Analysis
Moses - servant(slave) leader - looking for favor in God’s sight
Responsibilities & Resources
God laid the burden of the people on Him. Moses feels hopeless,
he cannot carry their burdens. He did not conceive them(not his kids)
he’s not a mother didn’t birth them, doesn’t want to carry them
he doesn’t want provide food
Burden is too heavy to carry (encumbrance)
God, if you’re going to treat me like this, kill me now.
Matt. 11:28 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
The Difference between Moses and Jesus.
Jesus the Son of God is equipped to serve His people.
Seated at the right hand of God.
Jesus is someone to turn to when we need help. He offers himself to provide
both physically and spiritually our needs.
