Jesus cares about our foundation because what we build on will determine the outcome of our relationship with God and our relationships with people.

The key issues of relationship with god and others is the question of what foundation will I build my life?

Jesus wants his learners to see and know that a life built on anything other than God’s foundational practices will collapse.

A life build on the wrong foundation will collapse in stages.

Like the Surfside Condo Tower, a life build on the wrong foundation can fool you. It can offer the appearance of stability, comfort, luxury, and success.

But a life built on the facade of health, pretend stability, and superficial strength is a recipe for spiritual and relational disaster.

It may not happen all at once, but through our shared experience, we know lives and relationships come down in stages if we don’t address the foundational issues.

God’s love, grace, and mercy calls us to address our foundation before our lives and relationships collapse.

One difficult about addressing foundational faults and cracks is that we have to see and admit their is weakness.

As I begin today, would you be so courageous as to begin from a vantage point of personal weakness?

Luke 6:49 ESV

But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.”

Our life circumstances are not the problem… Circumstance only reveal the foundation below. They are real… and they lead to the destruction of our life…BUT ALSO THOSE AROUND US…

Your foundation is reveal by the inspection of:

Examine the foundations of your thought life.

Where do my thoughts come from?

I believe the Evil One’s Scheme in your life is to lure you to Believe a great deception. Since the beginning the Evil One has tried to put cracks in our foundation by luring us to give into deception.

The deception is always a lie about who you are and who God is.

A lie about God’s intentions or even more about your power.

The Evil One believes, If you will give into the deceit about you and God, the foundational relationship with God and others will collapse!

Life should be better than this!

Life should be easier than this!

God and following God’s ways are keeping you from experiencing life.

Buying into the lie: This is who you really are.

Examine the foundation of your fear life.

What causes fear in your life?

Examine the foundation of your emotional life.

What drives your emotions?

Your Foundation is determined by your thought life, fear, and emotions.

What Will I build my life on?

Admit and specify the foundational cracks in your thoughts, fears, and emotions.

Authentically acknowledge and confess the cracks in my thought life, fear life, and emotional life.

To confess is to examine what foundation you have built your thoughts, feelings, fears, and future and to speak truth about the faulty foundation. To speak the truth to my thoughts, feelings, fears, and future.

The truth that I have been building my life on deception, lies, and false gods.

Renounce allegiance faulty thoughts, fears, and emotions.

We are attached to how things are or where. But to be direct, THIS IS ALLEGIANCE to deception is an abortive spirit in your life. It will abort God’s plan for you.

I believe this is literal battle! It is a day in day out fight against our faulty foundation.

Pray the blood of Jesus to cover and change your thoughts, fears, and emotions.

He can heal the deepest cracks!

We need something that can go down in the cracks and remove what is faulty and replace it.

Jesus changes everything!

Luke 6:47–48 ESV

Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built.

Trust Jesus. Take a step of obedience right now.

Be faithful in the little things… and Jesus will prove faithful in the big things.
