What do I want them know? We are to follow God’s laws, ways, and timing for God’s provision.

What do I want them to feel? Encouraged and challenged
ME/WE
Over the last couple of weeks we have learning about the PROVIDENCE of GOD
We as believers, CHILDREN of GOD have the comfort of know that God will as PHIL 4:19
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?
AND WE ALSO READ ABOUT GOD’S PROVISION AND THE POWER OF PRAYER.
in Matt 7:7-11
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.
Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?
Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent?
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
WE READ IN SCRIPTURE OVER AND OVER THAT GOD IS THE ONE WHO IS OUR PROVIDER, HE WILL MEET MY NEEDS
We also do not just know it personally
We are walking testimonies of God’s (thought we forget at times) AMAZING PROVISION. God has provided job, person, thing.
Though you did not think it would happen it happened at the last minute.
We also know and scripture says HE is the God of abundance…God doesn’t go I just want my children to be just making it....God owns the cattle on the thousand hills...
For every beast of the forest is mine, the cattle on a thousand hills.
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,
Many times we go to $, God’s going to give us a lot of $$$, He can and He will, He will give us what we need and for some of us more than we need....David was rich, Solomon would be the number 1 person of the list of riches people on the earth.
God might give us an abundance of
relationships
marriage
ministry (provided)
WE ARE WALKING TESTIMONIES OF THIS.
GOD
This is what we see in the book of RUTH, the providential God of the ABUNDANCE. …WE SEE IT HAPPEN TO RUTH AND NAOMI AND TO US....AND ONE OF THE REASONS IT HAPPENS TO US, ONE OF THE ABUNDANCE WE GET IS BECAUSE OF RUTH.
Nobody could have pictured what God was up to in Ruth 3-4
it is not on anyone’s radar, no one would have seen or pictured what God was up to.
In fact most people would have said Naomi does not deserve what God is going to do to her, she rejected GOD,(I GREW UP A RELIGIOUS CHURCH ENVIRONMENT THAT SAID AND BELIEVED GOD ONLY BLESSES THOSE....IT IS A RELGIOIUS DEMONIC SPIRIT) RUTH 1
you do not get a 2nd chance, or 10th chance
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.
The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
WE TAKE THIS VERSE OUT OF CONTEXT IF WE SAY GOD ONLY PROVIDES FOR HIS FAITHFUL CHILDREN.
THAT MAKES OUR FAITH WORKS RIGHTEOUSNESS....PUT’S A CLAUSE IN THE PROVIDENCE OF GOD....GOD WILL ONLY PROVIDE FOR YOU IF YOU ARE FAITHFUL
here’s the reality do we deserve the blessings of God?? “no a single one of us deserve what God gives us”
God does not operate in a box, he doesn’t say yep HE deserves it or SHE deserves it....none of us deserve HIS grace and
GOD LEAVES THE 99 RIGHTEOUS TO GET THE 1
Some of need to hear this today, because some of us believe a false theology that God cannot provide for us, be providential because we have been unfaithful.
I WAS HERE FOR MANY YEARS LIVING IN SHAME BECAUSE I SIN...
GOSPEL IS I MORE SINFULLY FLAWED THAN I IMAGINE AND MORE LOVED THAN I DREAMED
HE IS ALSO THE GOD OF THE ABUNDANCE
In the story of the book Ruth it is story of God providentially providing
BEFORE WE PICK UP WHAT GOD IS GOING TO DO TO RUTH AND NAOMI LET’S GIVE SOME CONTEXT.
