My wife Chuckles and I say that whatsoever kids were growing up.
Okay, with you I would wrestle with my kids.
Love doing that but we did it a little different in the Johnson house.
So long before our kids knew about Star Wars and that you know Vader was Luke's father and stuff like that.
Spoiler alert.
There was Buzz and Zurg.
Okay.
So if you want to watch Toy Story, Buzz finds out, shocking Buzzard, his father.
So we would not wrestle, we would play buzz and Zurg in the way Whitaker is Dad would get on his knees on one side of the room and I would yell across the room and your father may be on the other side of room.
Call David all coming charges for me and all of that.
It was a lot of fun.
And, and, you know, I believe that every especially.
I think it's therapeutic on so many different levels, but it was fun and there'd be times and all three of them would jump in and it was really cute when Mackenzie would jump then, because two older brothers, and then this little girl, you know, I'd let her play me a lot of fun.
And there were moments where I would allow the kids to think that they had, and they had tackled me, and then I would jump up.
And and once again, show that the dad was was Stronger.
You know.
I think in wrestling are our kids, learned some valuable things about Their dad and about line, they learned that their dad was strong at least stronger than they were.
And he was someone that they could work too when they were feeling me.
They learned that Dad was safe.
No matter how Fierce the wrestling guy dad was safe.
They also learned, they had limitations.
I think it's good for all of us to understand.
We have limitations and they learned that in wrestling, your bike while you were going really deep are wrestling with your kids.
But I am really ties him beautifully.
I feel to the message we're looking at today.
I have two questions for you.
When was the last time you wrestled or struggle?
With your heavenly father.
Maybe you're going through that right now.
Have you ever wrestled with God in your heart and your mind?
Unless you wrestle with God, you you question.
Just how much house fully.
Do I trust my heavenly father?
You find yourself praying.
and, You go to God in prayer and then you step back and immediately after saying, amen.
You find yourself once again, worrying.
Concerned about the situation that you just brought to God In Prayer.
If you're human.
I think you can identify with all of that.
Can't you?
Because we we engage with our heavenly father and in there are times that we have to admit that we struggle we wrestle with him.
Jacob in our passage today.
I've been doing just that.
In fact, he's going to wrestle, but truth be told Jacob has been wrestling with God for quite some time now.
This has been going on for a while, and if you look at our passes today.
We?
We see the Jacobs pass is going to catch up with him.
Your thought about your past and wondered if it's going to catch up with you.
Why did every time Dad?
Came home and I knew what it happened earlier that day.
Jacob's pass is going to kind of catch up with him and we're going to see how he deals with this both with his heavenly father.
And with the situations that he has because his Jacob is following the instruction that God has given him to go back to his homeland.

There's a verse that, I believe that, every believer, every follower of Jesus should commit to memory.
Look with me and 2nd Timothy 1:7.
For God, has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity but of power love and self-discipline.
You see that?
A scripture.
I wanted to all read that together because I believe this is something that needs to be ingrained.
In the minds of the heart of the believer.
Let's read it together for God, has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity but of power love and self-discipline.
Has not given us.
Church, if you get nothing else out of this message today.

Understand it and committed to memory.

If God doesn't give us the spirit of fear.

Where is that fear coming from?
Who is giving us the spirit of fear?
And I say that with such enthusiasm and impassioned this morning because over the last month honestly, last couple years.
I have seen fear grip.
The heart of the church as a whole.
I've seen fear grip hearts of gold in this Fellowship.
and it begs, the question if God has not given us the spirit of fear than who is
God understands that you and I are going to faced situation individuals life.
And there can be things in times that are fearful.
That understood that would Jacob was going to face as he entered into the land.

So we named the place, Mahana.

Imma, do you see what's happening here?
As is, Jacob is going into the land.
He's definitely facing his brother who wants to kill him and some fearful things unknown God goes.
And does something for Jacob.
He goes and shows in the spiritual realm and and I know there's all sorts of fascination with the spiritual realm.
