Psalm 90:12 (KJV 1900)
12 So teach us to number our days, That we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Ephesians 5:15–16 KJV 1900
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
The Life Church is in full blown, upward trajectory of understanding!
I want to talk to you about one of the great lesson of today!
Ask a dying man, “What do you want me to give you?”
He will not say real estate.
He will not say money.
He will not say education.
He will ask for TIME.
You are only useful on earth if you have time.
The most important commodity on earth is time.
If you have time, you can get health.
If you have time, you can get education.
If you have time, you can get money.
If you have time, you can obtain real estate.
SO HE MUST GET YOUR TIME.
Who must get our time?
Satan knows that none of the other things are valuable without time.
So, he designed this world and its system to strategically and purposely rob you of your time.
To occupy you
Distract you
Overwhelm you
Enslave you
God may just have your soul, but to what end of He does not have your TIME!
If Satan really wants to hurt you, he must do something to your time.
Time is the only thing that we have consistent control over!
No matter what he does to you, if he doesn’t touch your time he has not truly hurt you.
It takes time to know God.
It takes time to learn the ways of the kingdom.
It takes time to evangelize souls.
It takes time to disciple workers for the expansion of the kingdom.
It takes time to grow in prayer.
It takes time to access the anointing.
It takes time to build relationships.
It takes time to train your children.
And, Satan knowing this, STEALS, KILLS, and DESTROYS your time.
He is not that concerned with God redeeming your soul as long as you don’t redeem your time!
God is speaking to you!
Every time Satan sees a redeemed man giving his time to redemptive purposes and kingdom mission and expansion HE GETS NERVOUS.
He says, “I must find a way to extract his time!”
The battle is a battle for time.
Satan knows the moment you have time, the relationship with your wife will grow.
He knows you will train your children in the fear of the Lord.
He knows you will wake up in the morning and get into the infallible Word of God!
He knows you will walk in the Spirit and take up your calling and pursue anointing and covet the gifts of the Spirit.
He knows that if he does not extract your time that you will use it to impart truth, minister to men, and build the next generation.
So, in the economy of Satan, the battle is a battle of TIME.
The best option is to kill you.
He cannot do that without permission.
So he comes up with ways to do something with your time that makes it appear as though you do not have time.
This is the paradox behind the busyness of men.
When you are busy you do not have time for Jesus.
When Satan researched and said, what is the one thing men are willing to give their time for???
What can I get in exchange for their time??
What will they be willing to sacrifice their time for so that their time is not given to GOD and his purposes?
After his research he found that MONEY is the one thing that men are willing to give in exchange for their time.
They pursue money and call it happiness.
Then he puts entertainment, food, sports, hobbies..... everything that takes their time and their money, creating an endless cycle of spend and receive, time and money.
All because he wants to steal your time!
Will you let him?
Conclusion:
1 Chronicles 12:32 KJV 1900
32 And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.
Do you understand times?
That word means seasons and time (when).
If our season will be fulfilled it is because we understand not just when but how to plan when!
We have got to be masters of our own time!
Romans 13:11 KJV 1900
11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
