IQ.

Are we confused yet Church?

Don't worry. This won't take long at all.

Brother, Doug was supposed to go to Texas this weekend. A couple hours before church. She said, hey, I didn't go to Texas. I said good, you can read the scripture cuz Katie's not going to be there. So we just kept the sermon because I'm very blessed today to have my grandchildren here. Dustin and Alicia is beautiful wife and my beautiful youngest granddaughter. Well, almost youngest granddaughter, my youngest granddaughter in, Oklahoma.

So I said, well, let's go ahead and do this cuz how often can I make them? Sit down and listen to me?

So since I had it prepared, I'm going to go ahead and do it and and then we couldn't get the notes up here. So most of this is not what you're going to see.

I want to talk about the Christian and politics in this is kind of off the tracks track of what, you know, we've been doing with our series of lessons brother Doug. A little bit off but not a whole lot off. We look at our nation today and it it's getting to be in pretty atrocious shape.

We look around and we see things going on that. We just cannot believe a nation under God. Can be living with. So, I thought I'd talk a little bit about what the Christians involvement in politics is. Get a little clicker here.

Is it on? Says, it's on. Hair. It is now. I got the right button. So what must that be for us to be good, Christians and good citizens of a nation under God.

Which is what we want our nation to be.

Christian's involvement in politics, must be one peaceful. To lawful and three, honorable. All those things are required of us.

We have to be respectful also of other people's opinions. Now, that that can be kind of a slippery slope being respectful of other people's opinions want. But we must also, remember we must not be judgmental for we are not Judges, we are steerage for our brethren. We are examples for the world.

But judgment is God. And God's word. With non-compliance will get you the Judgment that you deserve. So, so they don't need our opinions. On top of that. We must overall be concerned for promoting righteousness. In the world. Christian would understand, you know, when we get done with this, hopefully some biblical principles that are involved. And how to exercise your civil rights in a way that would promote that righteousness throughout the world.

Wrong button again.

Don't worry. I'll get to push in the right ones. Okay, so promoting righteousness.

You get to the right spot. Here we go. Today is first says submit yourself to every ordinance of man for the Lord sake. Whether it be the king as supreme or into Governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers. And for the praise of them that do well for so is the will of God that with well doing. You may put to silence the ignorance of the foolish, man. As free and not using your Liberty to choke, our to cloak, as a cloak of, maliciousness, cloak of malicious, judgmental, attitude. Your on your on your, on your on. You're not as good as me because I am a Christian. Well, God never went to the great people. He went to the lowly. He went to the ones that he knew were nowhere near as good as him and that's what he called up. That's how we got here. cuz we've all been the dregs of society, or most of us have Minneapolis. Are amazed when we look back and say, wow. God, save me.

But he didn't save me by anybody constantly beating me up. With malicious thoughts and words. It says we should honor all men. We should love the Brotherhood and fear God and honour the King.

but, Peter tells us that government supposed to punish the evil. Government supposed to praise the good. Christians are supposed to submit to the ordinance of men follow the laws. The laws of men if you break the laws of men who will judge you. Man. You'll be judge by man's law. You break the laws of God, you'll be judged by God's law.

You're not supposed to use your freedom, that God gives us.

For lawlessness. You're holy and I've never made this a secret. I totally disagree with the portion. I detest it. I think it's one of the most evil things that man is ever perpetrated upon other men. The destruction of tiny unborn Souls. Not evil, Souls. Souls of the perfectly pure that have never seen or known sin are being destroyed. But that does not give me the right to go. Destroy the doctors. In other words, I cannot use my righteous indignation at abortion. Direct Force. And commit murder in the name of God. Because he doesn't want me to do that. That's that cloak of maliciousness. Firebombing abortion clinics in things like that. That does not bring people to God. It moves them farther away. So that's what they mean by the cloak.

I'm used to having this right here.

Got it.

All right. so,

First of all, we're going to talk about being peaceful.

In Christian politics. Jesus was a man of Peace in the physical sense. He didn't believe in using violence, for political purpose. Although that's what they thought he was coming back for, wasn't it? They thought he was coming back to overthrow the Romans. The Jews. And that's why they got so mad. He wasn't that. Great deliver that they had been wanting in the sense that they had been wanting it. He was delivering them to something. Much greater. Then just getting rid of the Romans. Jesus said, and Matthew 26:52 said, my kingdom is a I got you a skip too fast. He said, put in his place. For all that take up the sword Shall Perish with the sword. That was the night before he died. So, even when he knew he was getting dragged off. Lacrosse. He was still a man of Peace. He was still saying, let's do this with peace and love and he heal that guy that was hit with the sword and he went on to his death. You know. Peace.

When pilate was questioning Jesus about his kingdom. He said, my kingdom is not of this world. If it were of this world, then would my servants fight. So, that means we're not here to fight physically.

For salvation of souls. Not we're not supposed to beat people up. To make them Christians. It doesn't work. We've seen it over and over again.

The Muslim religion forces people to be Muslim or die.

Doesn't work. Your soul will just be be just as lost if you're forced to be a Christian. Is it would have been if you'd never heard the words of God? Joe. So, I should not be delivered to the Jews, but now is my kingdom not from here. And remember that. God's kingdom is a kingdom of peace and it's not of this world and it's not to be treated as it is as it if it is, but we do have to mold.

Sir Paul. Paul carry that same principle forward and 2nd Corinthians. 10, 3 and 4 pieces for though. We walk in the flesh. We do not after the flesh for the weapons of our Warfare of our Warfare are not carnal. They're not physical of this world. They're spiritual. Our weapons are spiritual in the word inspired of God.

Any political involvement that a Christian has should be peaceful involvement with politics, anything less than a peaceful manner. Is not satisfactory. It is not being a Christian.

Our interactions with our government should be lawful.

1st Peter, 2:13 through 17 as we read submit yourselves. Every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake. Whether it be the king is supreme or into Governors as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evil do and for the praise of them that do well. For, so is the will of God that with well doing. We met.

Put to silence the ignorance of the foolish, man. Okay, by well-doing. We may put the silence, the ignorance of the foolish, man. Now, why is that? Where lawful? Well, because we have lawful means within our government to what our government says. We don't have a king standing over us. We are supposed to have a nation of the People by the people. And for the people.

and we have also put under God. On our currency, on some of our building because we should be a nation under God. Well. If you don't stay active under God, then your nation begins to slide further and further away from God. And you begin to get things like statues of Satan on the Oklahoma state capitol. Lawn. Tearing down of the Ten Commandments in Stigler Courthouse, lawn.

Because we're not staying active active doesn't mean once again bombing. It doesn't mean invading, the Capitol building. It means lawful.

Use of our words and our influence. Christian. You participating in politics should always do. So in a lawful manner. Scriptures, condemn, those who involve themselves in sinful activities.

Politicians involved in simple activities, whatever their political affiliation are a shame to a country.

And it's up to us to hold them accountable and we do that with our votes. We do that with working with campaigns. We do that by. Writing a letter to the editor. Not one that. bring forth judgment, but one that highlights topics in needs for improvement. Christians who involve themselves must do so lawfully. In 1st Peter 2 16-17 as free, and not using your Liberty to clog.

Prakash in the King James version of the Bible cloak is felt a little bit different than it is in much of the modern more, more modernized version of maliciousness back. As Servants of God, honor all men love the Brotherhood, fear. God, honor the king so we should do things.

We shouldn't. Meet our politicians and scream at them and degrade them because you'll just hardened their hearts. We know that.

Okay. So how do we do it? Well, we have to show him that. It's to their advantage to live an honest Christian Life. If we, if they're breaking the laws of man, we need to ensure that those laws are enforced.

That what you?

Honorable. She looking currency and 82014. We take thought.

4 things, not only inside Lord, but also in the side of men, providing for honest things. Honest things. You cannot be dishonest and be honorable. You just can't beat are liars. Honorable. No. Can you? Shuffle money over here for the poor.

The Polish your new car. That's not honourable is dishonest. The lying to people stealing all those things are not honorable. So if we have politicians doing that are not honorable. We need to make sure that we elect honorable politicians. That. Which is Honorable, is that, which is above all simply legal.

The many activities in which our politicians, engage dead or not?

Only legal. But honorable, there are many things that are politicians engage in that are not only legal, but are dishonorable.

Because they make the lost. So it's very easy for something to be legal and be dishonorable.

So we have to pay very close attention to that.

Always do anything. You do honorably, whether its involvement in politics, whether its involvement in the community or involvement, in the church, should be done, honorably.

Not a tricky one. How to respect other people's opinions. Romans 14:19 says let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace.

And things were with one may edify. Another.

In politics, there's a lots of opinions. Yeah, the last ring when you had the right, when you have the constitutionalists, you have the Tea Party Democrats, Republicans Independents, okay.

I would love to be able to stand up here and tell you which way to vote. But if I did, we lose our funding. I mean, we would no longer be a tax exempt, organization. Because the government would take that away. because unfortunately the Constitution says, Freedom of religion. And the government are many in the government has taken that to mean freedom from religion, and it's not the same creature. Kay freedom of religion means all man, has the freedom to practice his religion. Without interference from the government.

But if I tell you who to vote for the government's going to interfere and take away our tax exempt status. So that kind of tell you where our country has gone. But anyway, that's not the perfect. Hear Christian must know. But the difference between opinion. And Doctrine in matters of Doctrine, we cannot be wrong. We must stick to the book, right? And must be. Write in order to be saved. Write the book, says this is what gets us there. This is what we must do to get their matters of opinion. I can be all over the place.

What's that? They say? They're like armpits. Everybody's got them and they all stink.

Christian must know the difference between these two things. You must be respectful of others opinions, though. He may not disagree. We remembered don't treat their opinions maliciously, let them voice their opinions because if they say, I'm out loud long enough, they might realize how silly they sound. But let them decide on it. It's not for us to decide. It says, it's for us to give them an example, to follow it for us to operate righteously and it's, and it's for us to pray. For deliverance from their opinions.

Let us follow after the things which make for peace. That's what Paul said. And that's what we should do in Rome and, and things we're with one may edify one another. Okay, and if I want another

so, we need to build up the nation in love.

Christian's of opinion is limited. However, and in regard to the weaker view, in other words, we're often. Thought I was having a weaker View. Paul wrote, let us not there for judge one another anymore, but judge this rather that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall. In his brothers way. It's a one word dealing in the political Arena. We must not play stumbling blocks. That will cause people to fall if you go and lambaste, somebody. You will cause them to fall because their heart will harden and they will never look toward those answers anymore. So, give those answers would love and peace from the word of God, just as they were given to you just as Jesus gave them to us when he gave us answers and salvation and such a gentle peaceful way. Do we insist? On screaming our Salvation at people. We need to do it with peace and love is as Christ. Gave it to us.

Must be concerned with promoting, righteousness. Righteousness, exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people and that's where we are. Now. The top line is where we started. Righteousness exalts a nation. We were we were started by people coming to Xscape. Religious persecution. And we went from that. Just thinking that man's Natural Freedom was to act any way he wanted and behave. Anyway, he wanted and do anything he wanted and it was evil. If you said anything against people, wanting to live the way they want. I mean. How did we get there? We got there because we didn't stay active in politics. We got there because people forgot how to read history. We got there because it's easier just to go with the flow. Hey. and, Then we talked at off with me. It's all about me. Everything should be for me. So when we get politician to say, well, I'm going to help you.

Not, I'm going to help the nation, but I'm going to help you. Then we run off and we chased that politician. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Okay. This guy is really great. You know, my whole family immigrated here and he's really great for Immigrant Song about for him. Never mind that he's voting for abortion. Never mind that he's voting for the destruction of marriage. No longer have a Christian marriage, never mind, all these sinful things, that he's promoting because there's a guy out there, Saint with me. I'm out me, I'm be me. I'm G. Me auntie. And he said, well, I'm going to vote for you l and I'm I'm going to work for you be, and I'm going to vote for you to write. At the same time, he's going to give them a Socialist Party where they were going to take away everybody's property and we're going to spread that we've seen that not work over and over and over and over. So Because of this me, attitude and other. I'm voting for my niche. I'm not going to look at history and see well that was so so other guys that put forth that bill to let women vote. It was those other guy that bill for all men to be free. It was that other president who was killed for that. We just threw history out the window and we go vote for whatever is about me. Well, as Christians, okay, we need to vote for whatever is about God. Would God? Condone abortion.

Mr. Vote. For me over here. Does Okay. He votes for abortion, his whole party votes for abortion. But yet we still voted for him because he does so great on immigration issues. What is that? The most important thing in our lives is the most important thing in our lives pleasing? Immigrants. I'm calling them immigrants. Lotto Maria legal already up here. Breaking her law, but we're going to vote for you. We have to evaluate everything we see in politics. Okay, we have to take care of everyone. There's no room in the Christian. Or Christian morality that has room for racism. There's no room there for racism. We have no need of a nation that does not take care of its poor. Because we should be a nation that takes care of its poor. But what is all this other stuff nation has no business. Controlling those things. We as Christians need to stop it. We need to evaluate what we're doing. We need to look when we look at Bible History. It's those Nations that behavior immorally that have been destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah Rome at the fall of Rome. It was perfectly legal for Caesar to walk in and have sex. With a bride before her marriage. And that carried over in into. Medieval, England. Call Lord's rights. That's not, where are those Nations now? They're gone. God destroyed, Rome. God destroyed Alexander, the Great. God let all those Nations fall because of their evil. God replaced all the kings and queens of England. Because of Lords rights. I don't know if that's the only reason, but they've all been replaced and they were sinful Nations. Now, are we going to let our nation get there?

I'm having trouble keeping up with this and that.

Good.

We must ensure that our nation Works without partiality.

To the issues. Abstain.

We have a nation that has made the abnormal normal. And now we as Christians feel guilty, if we objected to abnormal abnormal Acts.

Call tears. Christian, do not have. Have to be concerned, and let me see where.

Already said that.

What's the other big sinful things that we run across has within our government is money. If there's no morality than whatever control the government has over money, will eventually be abused guaranteed. Hank and miss you because there'll be no guiding moral principles on how to use such funds. We hold our elders here accountable for how they use the funds that we take in. We go to business meeting, we discuss how to use fun and then they make the ultimate decision. But I tell you what an elder doesn't have to make too many decisions that everybody don't like before we all get together and have a talk about that too. Because we have good people taking care. Of our funds, they're taken care of properly and the same thing should be going on.

They say morality should never be. A subject of government, but I'm telling you, this morality is the number one issue of government. If we did not have morality.

We have no loss. If we did not have God and government, we would have, it would be legal to rape and be legal to murder.

All those things that we detest would be legal. And guess what? More and more of them are becoming legal. If you remember in the sixties, we had, if it feels good, do it.

Good night, and we had the free, the free Love Generation, but what it meant was the f******* generation. It wasn't the free love of God generation. If it had, it been we'd be a still be a mighty nation today. I spent.

Well, I used to be able to say most of my life defending those issues. But instead it's just now a third of my life giving people.

Right. But those rights were never intended to be in Morality. Those rights are never to be do anything, you want. Those rights were never to protect perversion throughout the nation as a Christian we have to do that. You can use all the petition. All the peaceful means you want to change that. The biggest of those is your vote. I've known one Christian here. It's at this church. She's no longer here.

that refused to vote for one party, because So, she didn't believe in abortion. She was not going to have those old men saying what she could do with her body. Well, I don't know. God's been around a long time. He's telling you what you can do with your body. So why shouldn't our nation have a law? That says, what you can do with your body? Abortion is evil and but yet she would throw her vote over there because she didn't want those old men telling her what to do with her body. So in the end that instead, she voted for four people that get away with marriage.

They did away with.

Men staying out of women's bathrooms. Things like that because you look,

We need to have equity for the poor. The underclass knows the different races as it says in James 2, 1 through 7. Tell this to welcome everyone. That's the candidate. We need to look for right? Your standards of judgment result in a write your system. Right. We need to have decency for broadcast networks. No corrupt. Speech is it says in Ephesians?

Homosexuality is condemned in Romans 1:26, through 32, but we are required by law to throw open.

All of our institutions and allow it. Does that mean we need to be out there beating homosexuals on the head? No, that's not the Christian way. But it doesn't mean that we should accept. The bonding of two homosexuals as a marriage. Or did I have to condone it by building them wedding cakes? So, we do have things that we can do.

We look into the things that have happened in the past. 15 years in this country.

All all we can honestly, do you just want to sit and cry because of what? We've seen it go through. But no, we know things have to get worse before they get better. But that doesn't mean we should stand by while they get worse. We should always strive to have a Godly Nation.

Christian has an obligation to stand up for what is right?

You make your voice known at the at the polling place. You can make make your voice known in your speech to others in the best way. You make your voice known as setting an example. It says.

I want to be like that person. I want to have that pee. Stay at one time. Get Debbie had one. her young nephews came to visit with us in and he was a pretty wild child, you know, and after a few days he's getting ready to go and he says do you guys just take everything in stride, don't you? Well, yeah, because we don't have to worry about anyting cuz we know where we've been and we've been where you've been and we know where we're going. But you don't know where you're going and we we know where we're going. We have the path. And it's God, that makes us this way. Do we ever suffer setbacks? Oh, yeah, but we also know one thing they're temporary. The longest thing. Last is the rest of her life. Is there a temporary? No matter how you look at it for me that gets shorter and shorter every day. So I can get that gets. That's the person they need to see when people see you and the way you act in the public and the way you treat people, they need to say, I want to be like that. I want to feel that piece that I can see in that person. That's the Christian. We need to be, we need to be active. We need to look at history when we vote. We need to think about all the things that have happened.

Quick synopsis, here. I know that Doug, cancel, that trip, you know, the Texas cuz he figured it be chicken today.

And I see the chicken fat yours already headed out for it. So, we need to be peaceful legal, and honorable. We need to be respectful of opinions. We need to be concerned with promoting righteousness. Let them see what you want them to be. Okay. Don't beat them into being what you want to see.

Don't underestimate.

The power of Prayer in politics. Get on your knees and pray.

For the Deliverance of our political system, get on your knees and pray for those who are already appointed over us. Even if they're wrong. Maybe God will correct them. 6. Mm, make it better pray that he puts forth, powerful Christians. To deliver our nation.

1st Timothy 212 says I exhort therefore that first of all supplications prayers, intercessions and giving us thanks be made for all men for kings and for all that are in a sortie that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life and all godliness and honesty. That really says it all. That's where we should be. That's the even tells us the prayer. We need to be praying. For our government.

So this is a little talk has really been to get a lot off my chest. About what I see going around in the nation.

I hope that at some in some way it has touched you and made you think about how am I going to vote next time? What am I going to allow my country to become and will I allow my country to become this because of a personal need of my own. Or will I do it?

Get an overall View. Have a Godly Nation back if I vote for whatever is for me. Then I am deserting the nation to the devil. I honestly am and that when I, when I started looking back, you know, it all to the many things, you know, and and I see things like women's rights. Those were important and was important for us to get, but before you judge on, who you're going to vote for go look and see who was trying to give them to you for a long time before. They were given when you look at equal rights for race. Before you vote for certain group go back and look and see who's been trying to give them to you all along since 1860.

Don't. Cut yourself off a cut. Got off from government because you have one thing. If before you go to vote. You know, look and see. Who am I really voting for, and believe me. There's a bad ones in both the major parties and there's bad ones and all the little parties, but you have to look close and you have to look historically, and you have to look with a Godly Outlook.

Cuz I'm sure you guys politics gets pretty boring, pretty quick. especially when I can losing my place up here, but but that I want you to Now, look beyond that. Because there's a Salvation is greater than just saving this nation. And that's the salvation of your individual soul. That is where you need to vote me. How do I save me? I can't save you. Dug, can't save you. Roy can't save you. All the talking in the world from up here. Cannot save you.

The route to Salvation is written out very plainly. It says, first you have to hear the word of God. Hey, when you open your book and you read your hearing the word of God because that was the inspired word passed down when you got walk into a church building. And the preachers telling you while this scripture says this and this scripture says this and this is that's what's telling you what to do when you're hearing the word of God. If he's up there and he saying I feel like then your might not be so pay close attention to. If you have heard the word of God and you heard it from the book, as it's written in the book and practiced in the book, when you've heard the word of God and everybody out here, heard the word of God. Yak good. I think more than answered tab. You have to believe it's easy. Believe. That's something anybody can believe. Believe in God. The demons believe in God. No, so obviously that one thing's not enough isn't believing in. God does not save you. Hearing the true word of God believing that word is the word of God.

That will save you.

You say, okay. What else do I have to do? I've heard this word and it's telling me I got to do some. Well, what do I got to do? I got to repair. Have you heard the word of God? No.

You believe it.

Next Step says repent, have you repented of your sins? That's an important step. You have to take god-man. I see if I've been messing up. I got to fix this. Got to repent of my sins. Then you got to confess. Most of you already confessed when you say yes, I believe in God, I've heard the word.

I'm sorry. What? So hard to say? I'm sorry. Lord. I Repent of my sins have to be baptized.

It's not hard. It's not hard. You can't. You can't talk that away or yeah, it's full. It's waiting right here. She got to be immersed in water.

You have to raise up a new man or woman. And then the tough one. You have to remain faithful. In other words, yeah, you can't hear you, can't believe, you can't repent. You can't fast. You can do all that K. You jump in the water and jump out and go to the bar. Doesn't work that way. You have to remain faithful to what you just did that mean? You're never going to send no more. No, it means. You have to try it in no more. You have to do your best, and when you make a mistake, that's what. What do you tell your parents? I'm sorry, you repeat again, right? Okay, so if any of you feel the need to be baptized this morning? Don't you come this way? Standing sing?
