What is behind what Jesus told you?
Buy a sword and then put away your sword.
What kind of evidence are you looking for?
Is this evidence of what Jesus gave you or the kind you think you need to have?
Jesus wanted the evidence of Peters life to match his true hearts desires.
Jesus wants the evidence of your life to match your true Identity and motives.
Last Week’s Activation:
Give Jesus the I Just Need _____.
Ask Jesus what evidence do You see?
Declare that with I AM _____. Add what Jesus told you to that phrase.
Luke 22:31–32 NASB95
31 “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded permission to sift you like wheat; 32 but I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and you, when once you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.”
“Once you have turned again”
What does Jesus mean by tuned again?
I believe that when Peter first saw Jesus it was life changing for him.
I believe that Peter could see Jesus in that moment and that Jesus had chosen him.
That is what brought life to Peter.
I also believe that shortly after this moment, Peter fell into a shamed image of himself.
He then had to prove something to Jesus. He was trying to change who he was from the outside in.
This turning Jesus was talking about is turning away from outside problems and turning back to Jesus’s face.
Show kids video Jesus turns water into wine.
You can read this full story in John 2:1-12
Jesus was making a huge statement with this miracle.
It was His first recorded miracle.
John 2:6 NASB95
6 Now there were six stone waterpots set there for the Jewish custom of purification, containing twenty or thirty gallons each.
He took vessels that the jews used to wash the outside of themselves to symbolize being made pure.
The number 6 is a symbol of man or man’s efforts.
Wine is a symbol of the power and presence of God and Holy Spirit.
Man’s efforts to cleans yourself from the outside in will never work.
Jesus efforts of putting His word, His presence, and Holy Spirit in you will make you whole.
Jesus did this miracle has His first miracle to show His mission in being here.
Jesus was putting the living word, presence and power of God inside you to change you.
His mission was to make you whole and one with Him again.
How:
Jesus first gives you a gift that brings life to you;
A prophecy or a word
A healing
Getting saved
A dream or vision
These things are just the planting of His Word, His Presence, and Holy Spirit.
“Once you have turned again”
What does Jesus mean by tuned again?
Just like Peter first was chosen by and face to face with Jesus, we have those same experiences.
1 Peter 1:23 NASB95
23 for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.
This abiding word of God is at work in us even if we dont realize it.
That first feeling you had when you were given that prophecy, healing, dream, or being saved experience, was a taste of what Jesus came to bring in your life.
He gave to you first so you can now come to Him on your own.
The Lord strengthened David then David learning to strengthen himself in the Lord.
Jesus pick His disciples then they became like Jesus asking other to follow them.
They were healed then they healed.
You experienced the word and now you have become the word.
You experienced being loved and now you have become loved.
You experienced being set free from addiction, now you have become free.
We are in the season of ‘And Now We Become’

John 2:1–12 NASB95
1 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there; 2 and both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. 3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.” 4 And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does that have to do with us? My hour has not yet come.” 5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” 6 Now there were six stone waterpots set there for the Jewish custom of purification, containing twenty or thirty gallons each. 7 Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” So they filled them up to the brim. 8 And He said to them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.” So they took it to him. 9 When the headwaiter tasted the water which had become wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom, 10 and said to him, “Every man serves the good wine first, and when the people have drunk freely, then he serves the poorer wine; but you have kept the good wine until now.” 11 This beginning of His signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory, and His disciples believed in Him. 12 After this He went down to Capernaum, He and His mother and His brothers and His disciples; and they stayed there a few days.
Hebrews 5:12 NASB95
12 For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the oracles of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food.

38 “This is the one who was in the congregation in the wilderness together with the angel who was speaking to him on Mount Sinai, and who was with our fathers; and he received living oracles to pass on to you.
