Let's start with a word of Prayer. Russia's Father in Heaven, how wonderful it is to gather in your house to have fellowship with other believers who walk in the light of your presence and that we pray that is we come together this morning with that. We will rejoice in who you are as our Mighty. God, our King, our Everlasting father. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Let's start that little chorus. I love him better. Every day close by his side. I will abide. I love him better every day.

I will abide by. I love him better every day. One more time. I love him better every day, now spell the day and side and the bike. I love him. Better every d. A y r e d s i d e. N a v. I d e.

Yeah, you guys are here, this Sunday school kids, sing that there are good and some good singers there. Let's sing that are next to him as it Is Well with My Soul.

Where I am. Taking a look at finding our place in God's economy. And we're going to take out real quick. Look at the the man that was born blind. Then was healed by Jesus Christ. After his healing was called before the council and he's involved in that right now and it says then they hurled insults at him and said, you are this fellow's disciple. We are Disciples of Moses. We know that God spoke to Moses. But as for this fellow, we don't know. Even where he comes from the man answered. Now, that is remarkable. You don't know where he comes from Yeti opened my eyes. We know that God does not listen to Sinners. He listens to The Godly person who does his will. Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man. Born blind. If this man were not of God, he could do nothing to this. They replied. You were steeped at sinen Birth. How dare you lecture us and they threw him out in. Jesus came to him later and encourage them. But isn't it amazing how when we are willing to stand up for God that he gives us the words that speak truth to those who are struggling. Well, let's go to prayer.

Our precious father. How we thank you that. You are The God Who desires to be so much, a part of our lives that we will walk in the powerful truth of your word. And we recognize this in this man born blind that you truly changed his life because of your work in him and may you as you have changed our lives, change our will to honor you and everything we say and allow you to make us Bowl, Proclaim your name, we do pray that you would be with us as we go out into our community that we would be faithful and true to minister. The gospel of Christ to a people that is Lost and going the wrong direction. They are bound for hell and destruction. And we have the truth that we can Proclaim to them. They're lost and we are found and know the truth. So may we Proclaim it boldly? The Lord, we do. Pray for the particular needs of each of the people here that they have requests that are unspoken and yet they are truly found in the hearts of each of us and may you meet those needs, may you touch hearts and lives and we asked for your body healing on each circumstance that is there. And father. We want to make a special prayer for our

Alright. Well, let's have a word of prayer before we get started. Racist. Father in Heaven, how we rejoice in your word that truly brings Light of Life to our lives? That instills our hearts with your presence and guides Us in the pads as we look to you and trust you through it. And so father is we come before you now and take a look at your word. We pray for your spirit to be truly active and alive. And each of our hearts that we would see you in a new and Powerful like that. We would recognize your work in us and change us guide me as I speak that truly your spirit would take hold of me and guide me with each and every word. We thank you for this father. We thank you for giving us what we ask in Jesus name. Amen.

Well I said, as I said, we are working through a series finding our place and we're taking a look at our place in God's economy, what he has for each of us and how he wants to guide. Our Lives sent them. So we we continue on to take a look at that, and that we're going to take a look at Reliance upon God today, you know, there's times in our lives, when we really look to him and say, Lord help me through this and those are powerful. Circumstances. I want to read real quick from habakkuk. He is a prophet of old and they were looking at the struggles of life and how God and His questioning God, and in all of this. But in the end, this is what he recognizes from habakkuk 3 verses 17 through 19 build. A fig tree, does not bud and there are no grave. Turn the volumes. All the olive, crop fails in the fields, produce. No food, though. There are no sheep in the pan, and no cattle in the Stalls yet. I will rejoice in the Lord. I will be joyful in my God, my in God. My savior, The Sovereign Lord is my strength. He makes my feet like the feet of the deer enables me to go on the Heights and as he's looking at a very incredibly difficult time, in the life of Judah. He's saying, you know, no matter what I look at it. No matter what I see. I'm going to look to you, and trusting you. And there's often times when that is very important and valuable for our lives to look at him, when we're going through, those vast struggles in life. But we kind of dumb to think that there are times in our lives. When oh, I got this, I can handle this. So God just relax take care of somebody else for this time and I'll go ahead and do what I want to do and take all of that burden on myself and go ahead and do it, you know, and I think that we often more often find ourselves falling into that realm, then we do in those great dramatic moments, you know, we we think that there are times in our lives, when I can do the line, I can handle this and what we ought to do is be trusting God for each of those moments. It's a little bit of Pride to think that we can handle everything by all those things by ourselves and it's not the truth. God wants us to trust in him and rely upon him in each of those moments. And we're going to take a look at a scene today. From Jesus, in Matthew chapter 17, where the disciples are in this issue, you know, we can handle this and they find out. No, they can't handle a situation because it really doesn't fit their, lots of faith Challenge from Matthew chapter 17 will read the first three verses verses 14 to 16. Now. I need to explain the scenario. Just slightly. Jesus is coming down from the mount that we talked about last week, where he was transfigured and a Peter, James, and John are with him. And they're walking into evidently a city scene where this boy, Has been struggling and the father is coming to the disciples and he's asked the disciples to Healing because he recognizes that they are Disciples of Jesus Christ and that's part of his life. And he assumes part of the disciples life and it certainly is because Jesus is invested them with the ability to heal the sick to even raise the dead to drive demons out all those things. And so he's asked them to do this. They've tried and they can't do it and they got intermixed with the Pharisees at this point and there's arguments going back and forth about the all of these things. So just update you on the sink. Here it is. Jesus coming. When they came to the crowd a man approached Jesus and kneel before him Lord. Have mercy on my son. He's dead. He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire air into water. I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him. You know, okay. Jesus has authorized them to do that and they can't do it. So, what is the problem here? Matthew? 10:8. Jesus says this to the disciples, and to the 70 that he sends out. He sends out 70 people, and he tells them to go to all the cities around them. And if they go into the city that they have the opportunity to do this. He says heal the sick. Raise the dead cleanse. Those who have leprosy drive out demons freely. You have received freely, give okay. So he's giving them this power to heal the sick to raise the dead to cast out demons. Do I even heal leprosy? And they've gone about and they've done that they've gone out into these cities, and they've done that. But here this man comes along and says my son, who is struggling, you know, he's in and could you, please heal him and they attempt to do that. They attempt to heal him and they can't do it. Why Jesus give them power.

He's helped them along. You know, Jesus has given us power to, to do things. Do we take advantage of that? And that's a big question that we have here.

You know, when it's kind of a pride thing in some ways, remember he's giving them power. But remember who gave them power? That power is a gift from Jesus Christ. The Living God who walks upon the face of the Earth. He's the one that has given the power and yet, they've tried to heal. And sometimes, even though we have God, guiding us and giving us power and strength to live this life. In the ways. We ought to we start to depend upon ourselves and trust that we can do it. There's a little bit of Pride there. We get the idea. Okay, I have this and I can go ahead and use it and I think that that's where the disciples found themselves at this point. Well, we've been commissioned to go ahead and heal so we're just going to do it and I'm going to heal this person and that's a bit of Bribe that we feel. You know, this is one of those times when I just don't need God I can do it myself. Because I've been told I can Matthew 2633 we have Peter who has just

I told you Proclaim, Jesus Christ and you know, in Jesus says you're going to walk away from me. And Peter says these words, Peter replied, even if all fall away on account of you. I never will. And we all know what happened to Peter, you know, here is a prideful statement by Peter. I've got it together. You know, I'm not going to lose it. I'm going to stay with you no matter what anybody else does and of course, we all know what he did after Jesus was taken. He follow them along but then people said, are you are you as follower? And of course, three times? He did not him. You know, he took on that pride of his own abilities. Now, one of the things that we don't have in this passage that is in the mark passage, and is the whole idea that this child was not only does different things, but he does it because he's demon-possessed. Mark 917 says, a man in the crowd answered teacher. I brought you my son who is possessed by a spirit that has robbed him. Of speech is not only robbed him of speech, but it throws him into the water to drown him and throws him into the fire to burn him. This is a very powerful spirit that has come into this child's life and it holds him and it causes him to do many things that he shouldn't do. And yet the disciples try to heal him and they are very but there's doubt there once they can't their comes upon them, a sense of doubt. And we sometimes have that in our own lives that there comes a doubt that God is actually going to use the present circumstances and we become timid and Afraid after that and can't do the things. God has called us to do.

We can see this in the a picture of Peter in the boat. And Jesus comes walking out to the boat in the midst of a giant storm and he's walking on the water and Peter looks up and he says, okay. Well, that's God's. Oh Jesus. If it's really you let me come out and walk and so as we know he steps out of the boat and he actually looks at Jesus and he starts to walk on the water and I don't know what happened with her a wave kind of slap him in the face or a glance to the side, but all of a sudden he starts looking around He doesn't look at Jesus and the sinks, and he begins to sink, and Jesus in Matthew 14:31 immediately. Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. And he says, you of little faith. He said, why did you doubt? You know, in the things of life, sometimes swallow us up as it did Peter. He saw the waves and he lost control of the one who truly can guide him. And that's what the disciples were doing here. They had kind of thought of themselves as being able to do it. Then they took their eyes off of the one who truly gives the power and they couldn't, they couldn't heal. They couldn't drive out the demon. They couldn't do anything to help this child. That was in desperate need. And sometimes how we are in our lives. We take her on as up the Living God, and we look at the struggles of life and we become crushed by them, because we aren't looking to the one who can lead and can help us. Whether those struggles are the huge ones. Like a backpack was facing. The people of Israel are facing or just a little Trials of life that we face. You know, when you take a drive out of town, you know, and you think it will, I got this, I can, I can drive safely and then I've got it. Well.

You know, there's lots of circumstances that make a difference in that, do we trust God? And those circumstances? Do you give it over to the Lord when you go to work, you know? Oh, yeah, I can handle work. No problem. You give it over to the Lord because he needs to be there to guide us and that habit of trusting, God, and each moment is really important for our lives because we can get like, the disciples hero. I've got this and you really don't have it. I really don't have it because you were newly, not trusting. The one who does have it together. Well, let's continue on in Matthew 17, verses 17 and 18. Jesus says, you unbelieving and perverse generation. Jesus replied. How long shall I stay with you? How long should I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me. Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy and he was healed at that moment, a quick response. You know, Jesus has to say the word and it's done because he is the power, the strength, like and we can rely upon that notice. He was a little bit angry with this generation and it wasn't just the disciples that he was angry with. Remember I said that there were Pharisees there and they were the ones that were kind of giving the disciples a hard time because they couldn't do what. Really? They probably did see the disciples do when in two different towns and healed the sick and raise the dead and cast out demons. They had done it and now they weren't doing it and, you know, kind of the haha, I see you can't really do it type of thing. You do not trusting in God, just like the disciples were not trusting in God, and that's The way we are, I went in and it says it in Mark not here in Matthew, but when the man came to Jesus and Jesus was talking about healing him, the man says if you can and there was kind of doubt and help me to have faith and we need that we need to cry for that face. It's Ennis.

We can be corrupt in our thinking. When we are not trusting. God. God says that there is corruption in our thinking he could go all the way back to Deuteronomy chapter 32. And we see this in this passage. It says they are corrupt and not as children to their say, they are warped and a crooked generation. In other words when we truly aren't trusting God for each of those moments of our lives. There is a corruption happening in our lives, you know, it's the lack of faith and trust when we do not commit each moment of the Living. God We see this truth, distorted.

There was a time when Paul was ministering Saint, his first Ministry opportunity and goes to the island of Cyprus. That's just the first big island. That is west of Israel and Lebanon, and he goes there, and he's ministering to one of the leaders of the island. Well, this guy has an administrator with him named Elam, has an illness is a sorcerer and he is trying to distort the truth. And this is what Sometimes happens. We distort the truth. When we aren't trusting the Living God in our lives and Paul rebukes in. He says, you are a child of the devil and an enemy. I asked 1310, you are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right. You are full of all kinds of Deceit and trickery. Will you never stop reverting the right ways of the Lord. And so, then he condemns him and he is unable to speak and pervert the truth, and I don't know how long he stays that way, but When we distort the truth of God by not truly believing in him. We are going the wrong way. We need to trust the Living. God. There is disappointment and in Jesus at this point, you know, here he is. He's gone out. He's demonstrated his power over and over and over again. He's given the power to the disciples to do what they could do. And if they had instilled that power in the name of Jesus Christ. That boy would have been healed. The demon would have been cast out and he would have been completely restored, but they didn't trust, they didn't believe in. So there's disappointment, and we see that occasionally there was a time when he was asking the disciples, who do people say that I am, you know, and here is he's demonstrated that he has the power over sickness. He has the power over the, the things of of a nature. He he can overcome those things. He's demonstrated over and over again and yet people still look at him as something different than who he truly is. He's the Messiah from God. Matthew 16:14 is that They replied some say, John, the Baptist other say, Elijah and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets. And in other words.

We need to recognize God or who he is, the Living God, who is capable of handling those circumstances in our lives. We need to be reliant on God for each of those circumstances. Not just those things that we think might be a little difficult. But in each circumstance, God wants to be a part of your life, and he wants to be a part of my life and we need to remember that. When Jesus heals. That healing is complete when Jesus saves. That's a Salvation is complete. Think about that a little bit.

Faith brings complete healing. When we trust Jesus Christ. We are completely healed every sin that we commit in our lives as wiped away. And so when we trust God for the circumstances and truly trust him, we can rely upon him to answer it in the very best. Possible way is a back, it says, you know, all these things are wrong, but I can still trust God because even though they're wrong it's still in God's will that? And so it is right. It is right. Well, we see this in the art and the life of that of a woman who is it has a bleeding condition that has been going on. For 12 years. In Jesus, is walking through this enormous crowd of people that are reaching out and touching him and everything and he recognizes All of a sudden power is going out of his life. Because a lady was bleeding reached out and touched him. And all of a sudden that face that she had that. If I just touch him, I will be healed. And that's the faith we need. If I just trust him, he will guide me. He will leave my Pap and it says, Matthew 9:22, Jesus turned and he saw her take heart daughter. He said, your faith has healed you and the woman was healed at that moment, our faith leads to Salvation and our faith in Jesus Christ. As we walk through this life, gives us the power and strength to face life without fear. That he has it together, completely. So he does this, the disciples see this action. He is done what they couldn't do and it's kind of like How can this happen? You know, it said we see somebody do something pretty incredible. When you think I can do that. And we go out and selves even trying to do it and you, well, how does that happen? How does he get away with it? How can you do it? And so here, the disciples are Matthew 17. 19221 siples game. Did Jesus in the front and private and asked, why couldn't we drive it out? It replied because you have so little faith. I'm so little faith. Truly. I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain move from here to there and it will move nothing will be impossible for you. That face comes from our trust in the Living God. You didn't trust me enough. To allow that healing to take place. You thought you could do it. So you tried to do it on your own. And that's the way we sometimes live. Like we think we can do it when we try to do it on her own and sometimes those circumstances come out, pretty strange.

You know, Paul was going around healing people in in emphasis, you know, I got you them and healing them in the name of Jesus Christ. And so these Jews saw them doing this and I thought we can do this in so they decided to go out and and I try to cast out a demon. So here's a circumstance one day, the evil spirit acts 19:15 and 16 one day, the evil spirit answered them. Jesus. I know, and Paul I know about but who are you, then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpower them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding and you know, that's an extreme circumstance, but when we're not trusting God, you know, we're opening ourselves up the circumstances like that where we look foolish. In what we do. But when we trust in the Living God we stand in the truth and the power of who he is and it all comes down to our faith. Do I trust them? Do I trust him in each of those moments? Like I say, when I go to work, am I trusting him to guide my steps at work? When I go for a ride? Am I trusting him to guide me over the past when I do all the different things I do in life. Do I look to God and say Lord I yield this into your hands. I'm trusting you with this moment. It comes with faith. If you believe you will receive what you ask for in prayer as Matthew 21:22, and that's What we are to believe? Abacus says, I will trust, I will trust no matter what. I will trust you through all the circumstances, nephew 6:30. It says, if that is how God closed the grass of the field, which is here today. And tomorrow is thrown into the fire. Will he not much more clothe? You you have little faith. In other words, will he guide us through those circumstances that we yield into his hands? If I take the time the few moments to pray about a circumstance that I'm entering into? Can I trust him to help me through that circumstance or not? You know, and that's the step of faith, that each of us need to have as we move forward in this life. Trusting God through each of those circumstances. It's our Reliance upon the Living God that were called for

In 2nd Corinthians, 1:9, Paul is riding and he says, indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death, but this happened that we might not rely on ourselves. But on God who raises the dead. In other words. God does bring us into circumstances where There's no hope. We have no hope in this circumstance. There's nothing that says I can find relief in this circumstance. And so I give it over to God and he puts us in those circumstances. So we trust in that but we can build that trust day-by-day as we yield each moment into his hands.

so, In terms of this message that we see from the disciples who struggled with the power that God had given them. Why? Because they really weren't looking to God. It were looking through themselves to answer the call. So the first thing is, we need to rely upon God for each moment. Or each of those moments that we face for you. Young kids as you go out to school. Do you trust him for each of the classes go into for you football players. Are you trusting him for that game? Is there a sense that you pray to him and ask him to give you strength and guidance in the game?

As for you, young people for us that are older. We have all kinds of circumstance. We enter into day-by-day, are we looking to him and trusting him in them? The result is that, we need to accept what he gives. Okay, I pray for a circumstance. I know what I wanted to come out. I know what I want that circumstance to be there when I hop into the car and I did you decide to drive to Myrtle Point. I want to get to Myrtle Point and back safely. That's my desire. What if it's not God's desire for me to do that.

Do I trust him even when it doesn't happen, you know, if I yielded into his hands I have to trust in the outcome, right? Just as a backache, trusted God for the outcome, even though nothing good was happening in the land. Yeah. I got to trust God for the outcome. And the final thing is, and this is sometimes the most difficult thing of all. Am I willing to rejoice? In that outcome, whatever it is. Am I willing to rejoice in the outcome? It's from God. And we're supposed to rejoice and God's outcome, right?

In fact, we're supposed to be continually rejoicing with him. Okay, so give your circumstance over to God. Accept what God gives through that circumstance and rejoice in what happened. Those are the things that God calls us to do, and it's nothing but it becomes easier. And easier as we continue to give each of those circumstances of the god entrusted through that. Will feel blessed in the end and we'll walk closer to the Living God when they do.

Grace's, father, Mighty and true and holy the Eternal guide. In fact, father. If you've given us a part of yourself, the Holy Spirit to be our guide in all circumstances. And so often we kind of want to run off and do our do it our own way, but father, help us to remember to give each of those moments over to you and trust you through them. So that in the end we can find rejoicing in the Living. God who loves us more deeply than we can possibly imagine. So thank you Father. Thank you for these messages that you give through the power of your word. The teach us how to walk in Jesus name. Amen. Sphere.

And renew a right?

Read the jungle.

And renew a right?

And renew a right?

There may I have our Spirits be renewed and strengthened in you day by day, as we go through our week, May our hearts open up to you and trust you or the circumstances that we face in life for each and every one of them. And as we do, so may we grow in the understanding and knowledge of your great love for us, as you guide us in this life. We ask this in the name of our Lord, Our Savior Jesus Christ, who died for us and rose again. Amen. Scarred from Love.
