Do you want to Love Life? Do you want to see Good Days?
The answers to these questions seem obvious, don’t they? but it may be harder to answer than you would think.
Well let’s figure out the answer.
We are designed and created in such an awesome and complicated way, that there are things that we are capable of that we aren’t even aware of.
Did you know that a person can communicate in more:
What is our primary form of communication? Voice
But did you know that there are numerous other ways that we communicate:
Physical - Voice, Facial expressions, Gestures, Body position, Body Language, Attitude
Time Management - Promptness, Priority, Presence, or lack of presence
We rarely think about all of these things as ways that we communicate, but people around us see these things much more than they hear our voice don’t they?
So if the world sees all 10+ methods of communication from us, would there be conflicts between how we vocally answered the questions “Do you want to Love Life? Do you want to see Good Days?” and the other 9 ways that we answer?
With the understanding that Jesus is the only road that leads to these two outcomes. Loving Life and Good Days
Does our Body say that we want these things
Does where we place our time say that we want these things?
Does your life as a whole say that you are a Christian? or just your words?
Let’s see what Peter has to say:
8 Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
9 Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.
10 For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit;
11 let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
Peter challenges us by asking us some very deep and personal questions.
How is our Overall Attitude?
How is our Overall Attitude?
When people say your name, what is the first thing that others think?
is it that you are Humble and Loving toward EVERYONE?
If it’s anything other than that, then we’ve got some work to do.
8 Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.
Peter had heard this concept straight from Jesus himself:
35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud; instead, associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own estimation.
Do you have live your life with a sense of entitlement? Where you “deserve” things?
are you considered arrogant?
Do you speak badly about people?
Our overall Attitude says so much about If we are really a Christian!

How do we Response?
How do we Response?
9 Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.
Bless (Vs. 9)
Find ways to serve them
Pray for their salvation or spiritual growth
express thankfulness for them
speak well of them
desire their well being
You were called to this
The Lord gives us undeserved Blessings, so we must be willing to do the same for the people who wrong us. We wrong God daily through our thoughts, and actions. How is it right then for us to be Blessed, yet to withhold Blessings from others.
I know that we’ve been taught not to allow people to abuse us, and that is true to a point, but the wisest man in the Bible, King Solomon, said this in Proverbs 20:22
22 Do not say, “I will repay evil”; wait for the Lord, and he will deliver you.
How we respond to difficult situations says a ton about if we really follow Jesus!

What is the condition Heart Condition?
What is the condition Heart Condition?
11 let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it.
Do you:
HATE SIN?
LOVE SIN?
Do you:
Feel Convicted
Feel Numb
Do you:
Fight the temptations of Sin?
Give into them, because it’s just this time?
Give into them, because you’ve already been doing it.
We cannot follow be following Jesus, if our Heart is not in the right Condition.
We cannot follow be following Jesus, if our Heart is not in the right Condition.
What is your Motivation?
What is your Motivation?
Why do you do, what you do?
12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
Why we do something, is just as important as doing it! Especially when it comes to being a Christian!
Why we do something, is just as important as doing it! Especially when it comes to being a Christian!
Have you surrendered your pains, your struggles, your confusion, your anger, your brokenness, your tears, everything in your life to Jesus? Have you been saved?
9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Peter tells us that those who are Saved, the “righteous” have God in their corner to help them through this hard life that we are destined to live.
If you have never given your life to Jesus, if you’re running from him, if your actively living in Sin, then you fall into the category of “those who do evil”.
We’re about to have an invitation, it’s an opportunity for anyone who feels like they need to change their Attitude, Ask forgiveness for the way that they have responded to a situation, Change the way that we speak, they need help evaluating their motivations, or maybe you need the Condition of your heart changed to come down, fall on their knees and ask God for Help! He’s the only one who can help anyway.
I am always here to Pray with you. Maybe you have some form of sin in your life that has control of you, come and ask God to free you of that Sin. Maybe you realize that you’ve never been Saved, that if tonight was your last night here on earth, that you would wake up in an eternal hell, because you’ve never truly surrendered your life to Jesus. Come and grab me, i would love to pray with you!! Whatever your need may be, bring it before God!
