Satan Makes His Move Esther 3- Sermon 2
Now the providence of God is an amazing thing. So often we call it a coincidence or just a miracle, but when God works on our behalf it is more than just an amazing coincidence, or a miraculous happening it is a glorious opportunity to Uplift and Glorify God in our lives and to those around us.
We must remember though that God and Satan are at war – and when God moves and attacks or is getting ready to do something great is often the time that we are the most vulnerable to Satan’s attacks.
I really believe that God seen ahead and had Esther put in this place for a reason, but at the same time, Satan seen Esther being moved up and knew who she was and what she stood for and he begins to make a counterattack. Not just her but her whole people
Haman’s Hire 3:1-3
It’s interesting to look into the background of this man Haman. The Bible says he was an Agagite – this means he was a member of the house of Agag. He was an Amalekite whom Jewish tradition assigns as the arch-enemies of Israel. Look at verse 10 (The Jews Enemy) The name means to “be powerful” Angry Haman’s Hatred 3:4-6
It is almost humorous what pride does to a man. I think of Ahab the pouting Ahab. Here Hamaan would pass by and was so lifted up at all the people bowing to him that when one person refused because of conviction is was more than anger but a hatred.
Look at verse 6 he thought scorn to lay hands on Mordecai alone… when he couldn’t do that he was going to do all the Jews. Haman’s Hideous Plot 3:7-15
