Where is Faith?

Mark 4:35-40

I.                   How and why do Christians worry over circumstances beyond their control?

The only possible reason could be…

A.    They have not seen their place in God’s Kingdom.

B.     They are not sold out for God.

C.     They have a nearsighted view of themselves in comparison to the splendor that God has for them.

1.      What’s coming is better than now.

2.      Their lives are not their own.

3.      Their purpose is to glorify God.

II.                Faith as the recognition of the supreme ability of God to sustain us through every peril, where we are incapable.

A.    If the storm is raging, is He not going through it with us?

Why did not the disciples realize that if they perished Christ would perish with them?

How could they stress if they believed the Master’s message?

B.     When the storm is raging, is He not shaping or using us?

His plan is perfectly unfolding around us and we are the center of His attention.
