Go Forward

Exodus 14:15 (ESV)

The Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward.

Intro:

I believe as a church we are entering into a season of challenges, we are entering into a season where we will be stretch in our faith, to put it in other words we are being force into a place where we won’t feel comfortable. because every time our faith is being stretch that’s not comfortable but it is necessary to learn how live with the uncomfortableness in order to achieve the task.

1. Go forward even if, you don’t know all the details

Syria is a planner and i’m spontaneous.

Syria is a planner, she loves to plan our dates in advance. now, with planing comes a lot of detail. she wants to know what day are we having out date, she wants to know what restaurant we are going to, she wants to know if convenient what outfit i will be wearing. just kidding on the last part. she loves details.

I’m a very spontaneous person, my whole life is a combination of spontaneous events . I hate to planning and hate thinking about details.

A lot of times when we are on out dates we might be driving to the restaurant that we planned it to go, and out of nowhere i see, this cool restaurant and I make the fallowing suggestion to my wife. “what about if we go to that place instead?” she has the same reaction all the time… total FRUSTRATION.

“Most of the times God will give us direction without reveling all the details”

Change of plans -

Exodus 14:2–4 (ESV)

“Tell the people of Israel to turn back and encamp in front of Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, in front of Baal-zephon; you shall encamp facing it, by the sea. For Pharaoh will say of the people of Israel, ‘They are wandering in the land; the wilderness has shut them in.’ And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them, and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, and the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord.” And they did so.

The details that God gave them.

God told them the new route was going to shut them in basically trap them.

Gold told them that he was going to harden Pharaoh’s heart to chase after them.

What God didn’t say

God didn’t tell them that Pharaoh was showing up with a whole army ready to fight.

God didn’t tell them how they were going to get out of problem.

“We might not have all the details of the plan but we can rest assure that God has everything under-control”

I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host,

2. Go Forward even if, you are afraid.

Exodus 14:10 (ESV)

When Pharaoh drew near, the people of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they feared greatly. And the people of Israel cried out to the Lord.

Moving to Dallas was so scary.

Syria and I plan to move to Dallas after getting married now there was a problem, we didn’t have money. i wanted to attend Christ for the Nations and pursue my dream of going to bible school but every time i would get excited about moving to the Dallas a fear of not having enough money would come over me. I remember being in our honeymoon counting every dollar to see if we had enough money for the first payment of school, in order to move into campus. I didn’ tell Syria but i was afraid I was very afraid.

“Fear is one of the biggest enemies of Faith”

“fear would stop you from seeing the Glory of God”

“fear would make you believe that there is no hope”

“Fear will stop you from Going Forward”

The only way to overcome fear is by remembering the promises of God.

I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host,

“Think about all the things to cause you to be afraid, now think about all the promises God has giving you to remind you that everything is going to be alright”

3. Go forward even if, it seems impossible.

English Standard Version Chapter 14

15 The LORD said to Moses, “Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward. 16 Lift up your staff, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, that the people of Israel may go through the sea on dry ground.

God didn’t just provided for the first payment for school he did things that ware impossible for us, provided everything we need it and gave us everything we wanted.

If you obey God you will see the impossible happen.

“God wants to be the God of your impossible things”

God wants Dayspring Church to go forward into the impossible.
