As Jesus continues to reveal who He is, He is more and more hated. Now, we see those who trust Him and follow Him are now being Rejected By Man, but we also see the same are Received By Christ. The believer should not be surprised we are rejected by the world today and ought to rejoice in our being received. At the very root of how we respond to this reveals if we have beheld Jesus and if we worship Him or if we are bowing to the world.
