Did you know it’s impossible to truly know God without experiencing God? And did you know that knowing about God & actually knowing God are two eternally different things? And did you know that if we miss the fact that God calls us to love Him with all of our mind (along with our heart, soul & strength) then we’ll never be able to know Him the way He intends?

Today’s message will lay the foundation for the rest of this series. Of course the title is meant to be an oxymoron. Mindless Christianity makes as much sense as a pool with no water or a car with no engine or battery.

When It Comes to Christianity, Our Mind Matters Because …

1. we are called to love God with all of it.

Don’t shy away from loving God with 100% of the mind He gave you.

Luke 10:25-28 (1 Corinthians 1:18-25)

2. there’s no way we can ever truly know Him apart from it.

Our minds are the thought & information processing center of our existence.

John 17:3 Romans 10:1-4 2 Corinthians 4:4 & 10:5

Making It Real

1] Have you ever really pondered how important this is?

2] Will you embrace this truth trusting God for the

grace to love Him with 100% of your mind?

Action Step

a] Pray this prayer of the consecration of your mind to serve God fully & faithfully

in ways that are new, better & more meaningful with an even greater understanding:

“Father in Heaven - I ask for the sincerity & willingness I need to give 100% of my mind to You.

Please take it & make it the best it can be so I can serve You with greater knowledge & understanding than I’ve ever

known before. I want to know You increasingly in the fullness of who You are for the rest of my life — amen.”
