God’s spoiled brats

DO NOT PRAY FOR EASY LIVES, PRAY TO BE STRONGER MEN AND WOMEN. DO NOT PRAY FOR TASKS EQUEL TO YOUR POWERS, PRAY FOR POWER EQUEL TO YOUR TASKS. BISHOP PHILLIP BROOKS (LATE 1800’S)

1.       God’s salvation - 22

a.       Saved from slavery

b.      Peeps were singing praises to God

2.       People complain - 24

a.       To wrong person

b.      Moses turned to God

c.       16:1-36, 17:1-7 even when God makes provisions for us when the next crisis comes along we for get about His promise and complain some more.

d.      Life is a school and we are continually learning

3.       God’s provision – 25a

a.       He sends a tree= cross

b.      1 peter 2:24 “bare our sins on a tree”

c.       To  make our bitter waters of life sweet

d.      God helps when we ask and even when we don’t

4.       God’s rules – 25b-26

a.       God said he would care for us

b.      Never said he wouldn’t send things would always be easy

c.       Only that He would be there for us
